"To start, even though I am a Hilton gold member, there was no recongnition of that fact at any point during my stay. To the point I had to tell them to give me the perks accorded my status. In July, with temperatures exceeding 105 degrees outside, my room would not get colder than 80 degrees. The engineer had to come fix that. There is a rather large wasps nest being built out side my window. As for the food at the restaurant, the place is a joke. Rather than having 1 menu, they plop a handful of loose pages in front of you. The burger I had the first night was pretty good. But the pasta I had the next night was disgusting Cacio e Pepe should be the easiest pasta to make as it’s just pepper and cheese and olive oil. Somewhere they came up with cream in the pasta and that was nasty. And the breakfast buffet was pretty much inedible with stone cold scrambled eggs and hash browns that were as hard as pebbles. Save your money and go to McDonalda. But at the end of the day, what killed me was the glasses that sat on the floor outside the room next to mine for at least the 3 days I was at the hotel (Friday Sunday). No one bothered to remove them in all that time.What happened to the days when the Hilton brand actually equated to quality? Clearly they’ve not gotten the message at Tucson East."
