"Average bento for 9 US dollars, a good filling with a variety of portioned dishes. The sweet chili chicken works well with the rice, and the noodles tasted strongly like sesame oil."

"The place is one of the new restaurants located on the ground floor of the new Emerald Square development near Burwood Plaza. I popped in for lunch on a Thursday and it was fairly busy but the restaurant is quite large with enough tables and chairs. I ordered the Pork Mince and Noodles at the counter and it took less than 5 minutes for them to bring them to my table. The noodles were perfectly cooked with a perfect chewy texture. This place isn't for the faint hearted with a decent amount of chilli in every dish. With all the new restaurant openings in Burwood I would recommend adding Chongqing Street Noodle to the list of places to visit."

"Don't you want to wait for a table in seabay? then come here! the lambs were juicy and smokey. the handmade noodles were also great. you could watch and hear the ladies in the kitchen they order! the chicken dish with flat noodles was tasteful with a beautiful kick-off-Chali. that was amazing and fell off the bone. overall better than expected. up there with seabay and Chinese nudelhaus."

"At the Lidcombe Shopping Centre the Mee Noodle House food comes out quick, like 3 4 minutes quick when its its not busy. The taste is simple for the everyday. High valve for money, food containers are usually jammed packed. Theres some off the menu items for the adventurous. No peanuts which is a plus for those who have allergy concerns. For the money you are paying its five star."

"I went there without any expectations and was highly disappointed and angry. (apparently it is very busy usually and people book there first before going but we got lucky - I don't know see why so many people go though) Firstly, we were sitting there for perhaps 5-10 min as they cleaned up the table for us and then spent another 5min staring around aimlessly until they gave us a menu. Secondly, it took so long for the food to arrive- by the way, we ordered pretty simple dishes such as some buns which they probably just had to place into the oven to warm it up for a bit but still took ages. Thirdly, every dish was TOO SALTY, even the dishes they had strongly recommended to us. Even I with my savoury tongue could not handle it- it was as if they forgot to look at how much salt to put in. It was so salty that we were very tempted to order multiple bowls of plain rice (but didn't as we ordered fried rice- which was also very salty) and had to have a bowl of water to wash down the food. Perhaps the only good things there were the tea (to cleanse the salt), the atmosphere- there was a friendly buzz of chatter- and one of the waitresses (she was exceptionally polite and informative). Strongly do not recommend this place!"
