"Went in to get fish and chips yesterday. The server was very pleasant but I noticed she kept checking the temperature of the fish pulling the fish out the fryer a total of three times. Chips were nice but the fish was absolutely abmissmal! It was definitely not fresh and the batter was about 2cm thick and uncooked. Having eaten here before I had high hopes but was very badly let down. Inspecting the fish it looked grey and not white i wonder whether it was frozen and there us no excuse for uncooked batter it was just congealed flour in the end. I would give it 0/5 but i need to add one star just to review it. Avoid at all costs. When you pay nearly 15 pounds for a chicken and chips and a fish and chips I expected much more. Wont be back and I would advise others to follow suit. Why would the temperature of the fish even need to be checked in three places three times!!"

"Arrived 30 minutes before closing (8.30). A very polite young lady took my order with a not so polite elderly woman chiming in with brash comments in the background throughout. The elderly woman then turned around to walk towards the rear of the shop and stated i will have to turn the chip fryer back on now for F$*k sake . She made it abundantly clear that this was an inconvenience and did not want my custom. I explained to the young lady (who was clearly embarrassed and really did not deserve to witness the old woman 's disgraceful attitude that I didn 't visit to receive such rude behaviour and to let the clearly disgruntled woman know not to inconvenience herself. If the old woman is not the owner she needs dealing with. If she is, she may want to consider that a business without customers doesn 't do too well."
