"Arrive at the Les Arcs end of the Vanoise Express and you'll be greeted by a line of scruffy onslope cafes fine if you are young and want something quick. A much better option in Peisey Vallandry is La Cordee, just a few hundred metres upslope but quieter and with good views. Ski in from above. We waited 15 minutes for some soup to arrive and wondered about the delay. What arrived for 6.50E was absolutely delicious fresh and amongst the best soup I've had anywhere. Other diners seemed equally delighted with their food."
