"Firstly they ran out of straws and did not even bother to supply glasses. 5min after ordering food and sitting we were told that they cannot proceed with our order and can only supply take away as they will be closing soon. We asked if we can take take out and sit outside and we were told no. Was a regular at Watergardens Grilld but not anymore."

"If there is one thing that is on the rise it has definitely got to be Melbourne’s burger scene! With new burger bars, canteens, trailers, cafés and diners popping up all over the place, if you are wanting to get in the burger mix then you have to stand out. And how the heck do you do that? Well from what I can tell (from endless Instagram scrolling) you slap a few slices of plastic American cheese in between two buns and create meaty towery burger f$#ck fest that may or may not shorten your life span by at least a decade. <br/ Seriously, it seems that the burger culture has gotten so overly saturated that in order to stay ahead of the competition Burger Restaurants are forever marketing oversized and over portioned menu items that appeal more to the eyes than to the taste buds. Well here is where Nice Buns by YOMG stands out from the crowd…<br/ <br/ Nice Buns is a breath of fresh air, and on a 38-degree day like today, that’s exactly what I needed. When I walked through the incredible wooden doors and into Nice Buns, it was like I was transported to an oasis of burger heaven. This was some serious Narnia sh*t. From the almost heavenly lighting that shone upon endless green plantations and contemporary furniture I felt immediately relaxed and calm. I clearly am conditioned to hustle and bustle, get your burger and go, type environments that are synonymous with this culture and was pleasantly surprised at how different Nice Buns was in that respect. <br/ <br/ After a careful deduction of the menu I ordered the Bang, Bang, Bang burger (from the specials), the philly cheese steak and a serve of loaded cheese fries. Oh and a Ribena Flavoured Slushie to cool the sweat. <br/ <br/ The burger was awesome. The burger patty was grilled in typical smash burger way, thin and crisp but not burnt. The onion ring filling, bacon and American cheese paid a tasty homage to American style burgers that Melbourne is lapping up. It definitely hit all those burger cravings.<br/ <br/ The Philly Cheese Steak was not too bad. This is exactly how I would imagine a Philly Cheesesteak to be created by a street vendor in 1950’s Philadelphia and look. There was a mountain of cheese which laid on a generous amount of thinly sliced beef, and I can see and taste why this would be a favorite among American locals who were looking for a cheap but filling bite. A knife and fork is a must. <br/ <br/ The loaded fries were cooked to perfection and salted with an incredible tasting salt mix. The addition of cheese and spring onion makes for a crazy good side that isn’t too overdone.<br/ <br/ And…what’s a burger loving experience without dessert!? After taking only at least five steps I was indulging in Nice Buns Frozen Yoghurt station where I loaded up a cup full of Black Vanilla and Salted Caramel flavor yoghurt. I topped it off with some crushed Oreo and plain biscuit and kept the foodgasm going all the way home. <br/ <br/ My verdict: Worth it for burger special, philly steak and fries totaling a value of $39.<br/ <br/ Hey, if you liked this review be sure to check us out on Instagram @dadventuresofficial where youll see more of our delicious eats.
