"Elias is an absolute gem. my sister and I first came to halifax and elias made us so welcome. we have an excellent guide through the menu and a delicious gluten-free banana bread to taste with our espresso while we waited for our choices. I have the gluten-free option for the bun and wad and the taste and the texture was stellar. we can't expect to visit again."

"Very nice small Mexican restaurant and I don’t think twice when I want to have mexican food. The food: no doubt one of the best authentic mexican food places in HRM and I can confidently say it is one of the best in the province and its surroundings. The served portion is very generous and filling (you dont want to stop eating because of the deliciousness of the enchiladas) Service and price: Anna, Wilson and the other woman are super nice and Very welcoming and you will feel the warmth the moment you step in to the restaurant. The price is reasonable compare to the portion served. The only thing is they open 2 days only for lunch. Dont forget to try the jarritos.. I definitely recommend it and I will go again."

"Gus's Pub has a set schedule for entertainment, details of which are available in The Coast newspaper. The only night I'd advise skipping is Mega-Comedy Mondays; this has been a dud every time we've been. The bar staff are friendly and efficient, but you do need to behave yourself, low shenanigans-tolerance is in effect. The clientele is quite eclectic for such a dive! Ace Burgers are delish, worth the visit. There's a separate room for gambling machines, if that floats your boat. It reeks of desperation. The main bar is dingy and ill-kept; the carpets are redolent of years' worth of spilled drinks and worse. The washrooms (ladies, at least) are surprisingly clean, even towards the end of the night. Bring cash, or get hosed at their off-brand ATM. Limited parking at the side on Agricola. Gus's is a slice of Halifax grunge!"

"Great date place. Always interesting, adventurous, and tasty.I see the vegetarian label in the yelp header, but I seem to remember having roast beef, chicken, and fish here at various times over the years. Though I will confirm there are always interesting veggie options that can tempt me away from the meat dishes. Not many restos can do that."

"What a great treat!! My husband works across the street from this little shop. Everytime I pick him up on Friday afternoons I mention the little shop. He finally stopped by and picked up two. SO GREAT!! Definitely stop by!!"
