"A diamond in the rough indeed. Some of their beers are really good while others fall a bit short. Plaza Fiesta is right next to Plaza del Zapato and is a little strip of bars and gastropubs. The craft beer scene is exploding in Baja but of course their still in their infancy. This is what is going on with Insurgente. It's in its infancy and their beers seems to be very heavily inspired by Stone. I do hope that they grow and become their own and not just San Diego's little brother who imitates.I would have liked to see at least one sour beer but no luck on that department. Something Mexican inspired like with hints of Cucumber and Tajin. Anyway, I digress. I didn't experience "excellent" service here. The service was just "OK" and at times disinterested in the customers. Some of their competitors in the same plaza were way more welcoming."
