"One of our 4 absolute go 2s. In fact,as I said before, we only eat authentic Latino food. Tex-mex is cool if u dig that. I'm waaaaay past that. It's like this....if you've never had truly authentic Latino food, you're depriving yourself. You'll quicklyfind out that, it's highly addictive. So will your pants. Cause u gonna need a seamstress to let the waistband out. Thatis all."

"Walking into this unassuming, unpretentious space one does not know what to expect. Certainly, we were not expecting the most amazing sushi experience prepared before us by Chef Michael Monaco. Having recently eaten at a Michelin starred sushi restaurant in DC, there is no question that Akame was better, more special, more original and a relative bargain. I write this review with some reservation, as we would love to hold this discovery as our personal secret, but that would be most unfair to Chef Monaco. Akame Nigiri deserves an audience for its limited seatings, which I suspect will soon become prized calendar slots with bragging rights attached. Ask in advance for the Japanese Snow Crab with caviar. You will marvel at the skill and intensity that Chef Monaco brings to the preparation, and to eat such a thing is frankly indescribable. Waygu, FoieGras on crisped rice pre-desert, various beautiful sushis with customized original toppings available only at Akame. One insane serving after another. Just an extraordinary dining experience, not to be missed."

"We had late lunch at this place. Everyone liked their food and the portions were good size so we took home some leftovers. The food was great and the servers were friendly. We will definitely go there again."

"Tachibana had a great variety on their menu. We really loved the sushi menu especially the negi-toro roll (definitely the favorite of the night). We also got the salmon carpaccio as an appetizer which was different from what other Japanese restaurant in the area served. Theirs has cheese on it which was unique and delicious. The entrees selection was also plentiful. I had a variety set (more traditional style Japanese bento) and it was very filling but a touch too expensive in my opinion. My husband had the sukiyaki which he could not finish because we over ordered as per usual. Unfortunately, we left our sukiyaki in a to-go container on the table and we called to come back and get it 15 minutes after but they already threw it out. They were also really busy for a Monday night so the sushi came out after the entree which was a little odd. The staff was really nice. We?ll be back to try other things."
