"This was such a bad dining experience, my son and I were laughing at how surreal and ridiculous it was. Without a doubt, the worst meal I have ever eaten. Have you ever had that feeling of not being satisfied after eating ? There was food in our stomachs that somehow bypassed our taste buds, and we actually went directly to a nearby Swiss Chalet to eat another supper. Really, not a word of a lie! We ordered from a menu that had quite appealing photographs. Since the prices were in line with a typical seafood restaurant, we expected equivalent service and food preparation. Not having been there before, we were taken aback when two plastic bags of food were plunked on the plastic tablecloth and the server walked away. No plates, no cutlery, no side of rice which I ordered, just plastic bibs and cheap plastic gloves of the type that come with drug-store hair coloring. We hadn't clued into the fact that the food is prepared by boiling it in a plastic bag, following which a ladle of industrial sauce is dropped into the bag. So, the stingy side of corn (about 1/4 of a large cob) was mushy and tasted like the sauce, not like sweet corn. The shrimp was soft, the mussels were overdone to the point that their texture was like chewy, overcooked liver. I suppose if you subjected the sauce I ordered to chemical analysis, it would have come up as having the advertised garlic and lemon, but I couldn't distinguish that from its flavor. The service was not bad, just non-existent. Not once did a wait staff stop by to see if we needed anything, or if the food was as ordered. We had to flag a server down if we wanted anything. To cap it all off, this restaurant has to take the prize for being the most wasteful and using an excessive amount of single-use plastic: un-necessary straws, cheap thin plastic water cups (containing lukewarm water with no ice), plastic bibs and gloves, plastic disposable tablecloths, plastic bags lining the pail that collects the shells, plastic bags to boil the food to death. Now, some people may care more about the food than not despoiling our environment, but why can't we have both? Too bad we can't rate it minus 5 stars."

"We ordered a vegetarian platter to share, then had the coffee and popcorn. The injera was not my favourite, because it tasted very fermented, almost too much for my taste. It was a bit too sour for me. The platter was okay.. I've had better...injera at another Ethiopian restaurant. I would have preferred something else at the centre of the platter, other than a salad. Our favourite was actually the popcorn and the coffee. The popcorn was just really delicious and seasoned well. It was a bit salty, but sweet and also very light. The service was great and it did not take long for our food to arrive. I love the seating area near the front of the restaurant. It's very comfy and you will also find some beautiful artwork on the walls."
