"From our host in Schneverdingen we received the advice to go to the Schäferhof. Said, done. This restaurant is not only picturesquely located in the Lüneburger Heide, but also offers plenty of delicious food in a rustic ambience. When we were there, it was well visited at noon. Since good weather was, the terrace was more visited than the inner rooms. On request, it was possible to enter the restaurant as well as take place with dog. The selection of the food was much harder for us. What do you choose? My accompaniment fluctuated between two courts and asked one of the waiters who advised friendly and helpful. So my companion chose the Schnucken Burger with pulled heidschnuckenfleisch, whereas a salad of the season laughed at me with homemade dressing. Both dishes were appealingly designed, abundantly dimensioned and delicious. You don't just understand his craft, you love it here too! Prices are not unusually high for a restaurant, especially as the quality and service speak for themselves. Here I am a guest, here I can be. We are in any case grateful for the tip of our host, who is happy to be passed on."
