"After my recently quite positive experience with a surprisingly quiet café in the otherwise violent Sindelfinger shopping temple Breuningerland, I now run a bit more openly through the Böblinger quarter of Mercaden. Previously, my visit to the rather unsightly clinker building opposite the Böblinger Station was limited to the essential. Get in and out. But the Mercaden has 15 gastronomic plants, distributed on 3 floors. The advantage: just a few steps from the train station, from the bus station, from the medical center Medicum, from the post office and the pedestrian street Bahnhofstrasse, all the paths are inevitably passing here. Although the Simitci Café is not as random as it is located on the upper floor, it is directly at the escalators. A generous, well-lit counter with baked goods protects the somewhat darker café from transit traffic. Being wonderful is quite a lot of leaf pastries and filter pastries, apparently all very hearty. Börek and Sesamkringel are known. Everything else looks very appetizing at least visually. I remember the café was always very well visited. When I come at this time – one day before three kings and at 2 a.m. in the afternoon – it is human. Although there are still holidays. These effects can be attributed to the current restrictions of a gastronomy visit. I'll hold back. The guest room is simple but harmoniously furnished: with fours made of bright wood and chairs with dark, comfortable shell seats. The richly illustrated menu offers a variety of breakfast options, all very hearty, with many small components arranged on individual dishes. At first glance, I discover arrangements such as “land breakfast for 3 people” (39.90 euros or “Agaic land breakfast for 2 people” (23.90 euros), with many olives, sheep cheese, tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, beans, inlaid and sauces, pastries in every form. Huge quantities, colorful, best suited for friends and families. In addition, homemade daily soups, omelet, toast and packs with supplements are offered. There are also a variety of lunch menus: from Tortellini to Hamburger to Zürcher Geschnetzeltem and Frikadellen in the Sesamringnest. All a bit multikulti and crossover. Most of the time, however, to close the photos, would satisfy my taste. Is the kitchen occupied right now? After a long time I decided to use the take-away offer. The service lady looks routine, versed, cool, maybe also a bit boring (in view of the missing guest appearance? . There is nothing to say about small coffee (2.50 euros), but nothing to say. For this, I take 1x Kolbörek (3,00 Euro), a double strip of leaf dough, very spicy and filled with spinach (and possibly also minced meat). Saturates immensely and also meets my taste. You can pay cash or card – and the entrance itself can be taken by a small printer. The contact can thus be limited to a minimum. If you use the elevators of the house, you can also reach the Simitci Café on the upper floor barrier-free. Only Manko: the central toilet system of the house is paid for, of course also well maintained and very neat. A huge multi-storey, also paid parking is one of Mercadians. A shopping or gastronomy visit favors the parking fee. Especially the varied breakfast offers of the Simitci Café make me good. But who knows when the conditions for a visit become more moderate? I use the take-away offer again, because the costs in the counter are simply too appetizing."

"At first glance, the outdoor space is a bar and lounge bar, with a beautiful outdoor area graduated in terraces. Only at the second glance is the restaurant with high-quality, often regional ingredients and ambitious cuisine. The rooms once housed the information pavilion of the city of Böblingen and have been successfully redesigned and redesigned for a few years and have been creatively furnished (a mix of different styles, plus a generous, coolly lit bar). The location is unique, located between the two Böbling lakes and just a few steps from the Congress Hall and the Post Square. The train station can be reached in a 10-minute walk, can be parked on the park decks of the Congress Hall or the nearby Landratsamt. I've been there a few days ago. The two courses were discussed and exclusively prepared before: delicious starters with aromatic Bulgarian sheep cheese, Dalmatian olive oil, very fine ham, sharp peperoni and spicy Grana Padano cheese, with fresh bread with sesame. As the main course Pasta with Hofgutchampignons (from the nearby masonry) and fine cream sauce, exquisitely seasoned with Mediterranean herbs. The food offer is constantly changing and oriented towards the current season and the offer of the near producers. Spacious, heavy dishes. Large drinks, numerous cocktails and drinks are freshly mixed. Very competent service: very fast to the place, patient, knowing, attentive. Questions about food and drinks are answered in detail. The audience is mostly young, you like to stand on the terrace with the beer bottle. Loud music, sometimes live performances and events. I would like to have a lot more visitors to the excellent kitchen."

"As part of a business breakfast, I was invited to Mercure Böblingen. The house has been known to me for a long time, but it is easily accessible by car at the edge of the industrial area Hulb, between furniture store Gamerdinger and shopping market Real. Okay, the location is not particularly picturesque, but the hotel is characterized, for example, by the largest outdoor pool in the Stuttgart area and has enough parking space, including special women's and disabled parking spaces. It has the Visions restaurant, where you can take both lunch and dinner, as well as a bar-bistro and several spacious conference rooms that are almost all named after the name of company founders (e.g. Bill Hewlett or Dave Packard or William Moog . Both the building itself and the individual rooms and the toilets can be easily and comfortably accessible. The welcome by the Mercure team was marked by routined and professional friendliness. One speaks several languages and immediately tries to answer questions or be helpful. The generous wardrobe offers enough space and the duck looks amazingly bright and welcoming. Although a new building is created directly in the garden, I did not experience any impairment by Baularm. The interior is decorated in warm, worn colours – rather in American style. The rooms are mostly designed with low-floor carpeting. We sat with a group of perhaps 40 people at very bright and friendly covered large round tables in comfortable free swingers. To the immaculate white tablecloth there were red napkins as an eye-catcher and discreet table decorations. We were able to operate at the buffet, which offered all the warm and cold specialties awaited by an upscale brunch. It was self-service. Transport routes are generous, nowhere is it narrow or difficult to access. On a well-placed full coffee machine, you can choose among the usual coffee specialties: cafe cream, espresso, cappuccino etc. Despite the otherwise very appealing and friendly dishes, the somewhat loaded, quite heavy cappuccinates were unpleasant to me. Also, the cereal bowls were almost too big and massive, considering that they still have their own food to be transported to the table. Among the hot dishes I chose a fine, not too dry scrambled eggs, to which I took freshly cut parsley. In addition, warm mushrooms and very tasty little pancakes, which can be picked up with a sweet coat (diverse jams, various dry fruit, almond leaflets, etc. or with a pungent coat. The crisp sausages (so on mustard or ketchup in portion bags I did not try, but they looked delicious on the plates of my table neighbors. I also found particularly great ayuervedic bonds with warm cereal and fruit, as well as small Actimel bottles, which were almost taken as a dessertation by the health conscious. Gorgeously fresh also the arrangement of tomato with mozzarella in Balsamicosauce, the crisp cucumber slices, the aromatic black olives, the wide range of different sausage meats and cheeses. There is absolute cleanliness on the counters, no place to spot or stickers. If there's something going down, it'll be set up immediately. This works very quickly and reliably, because the kitchen is directly next to it and the staff reacts with a view and speed. Also at the tables used dishes are quickly removed. As a small manoeuvre, I can only say that the already ready-made welcome coffee, waiting for us in thermospots, was rather mischievous and rather cold to lukewarm. You should have acted a little closer. The Mercure Böblingen is very suitable for business appointments, business dinners, conferences and conferences – with international audiences. It is conveniently located and offers well-known standards that are also known from other destinations."

"Check Inn restaurant is located in Böblingen. Once there was the state airport until 1935, where the Zeppelin landed. After large areas of the area have moved into the new quarters of the airfield, only few architectural remains testify to a glorious past. But this is almost no longer interested in this century. Since 2016, the Check Inn has been residing in the middle of the airfield and offers trendy international cuisine. Maybe I wanted to cancel a visit to the restaurant for a special occasion, maybe even a little bit quietly mmelancholy swung along with the former history, which suggested me a proper distance – so far I have not taken a step into the check Inn. However, the particular current situation helps me to make a first attempt. After weeks of forced out-of-eating abstinence, my mind simply stands for unfamiliar culinary delights. Some locals offer pick-up offers, some even a free delivery service. If that's not the best opportunity to check in? As a predictive person, I already call on the eve to pass my order for Sunday afternoon. Probably because of the big claim, I first land in the waiting loop. Then you try to reconcile me to call again on Sunday morning. When my gentle talk comes up, the young lady on the phone quickly turns into a professional mode, picks up the delivery data and finally asks if there are still drinks or a dessert. Unfortunately no – my wine cellar is well filled and sweet is not one of my favorites. On Sunday afternoon, I'd like a little Knirps to the Christ Child. Then the food really lands at 12:30 in front of our front door, although the well-launched lady from the delivery service had to turn a small looking round about our block. Payment would have been possible without contact with credit card, but we have deposited the sum in cash next to the Easter bunny in front of our front door. It's been accepted. The Sunday menu expected with tension is composed of: 1) 1x Panned carving from the calf with pommes (for 16 euros instead of otherwise 21 euros) 2) 1x Vital Bowl with leaf sachets, celery and avocado puree, sweet potatoes and marinated colored lens salad (for 11 euros instead of 13 euros) That was good. Both dishes are transported in large warming boxes in the car and placed in the respective packaging in front of our front door from a 100% recyclable cardboard base and a 100% recycled plastic cover. With the same internal volume of the packaging, the actual filling quantity is different. The Schnitzel portion is just right and corresponds to a pleasantly dimensioned Sunday meal. On the other hand, the Vital Bowl turns out to be a three-fold felt portion that is impossible to do with a swing. In the carving, two smaller parts, not too dark panned, are supplied, and there are plenty of frits that miraculously don't get lazy. As a nice gesture at the top, a small douche with a cranberry sauce, which would, however, harmonize to a baked camembert. Absolutely lush and blessed with amazingly diverse aromas is the Vital Bowl: on unfortunately already slightly watered leaf salads are very crispy roasted tofu slices, hip sweet potatoes, pleasant edgy lentil salad with red and yellow pepper pieces, tastefully harmonious avocado puree and a mild celery puree. As an unannounced bonus to everything: 9 slices of bread (white baguette, white bread with black olives, dark grain bread – for breakfast in the coming week is already provided), two packed biscuits and two refreshments. We like the snow kings – however, decide to put less on traditional standard kitchen and try one of the more experimental offers at the next order (the extensive delivery card with a good dozen different dishes changes weekly). We were already able to convince ourselves of the absolute schedule and the well-launched delivery team."

"In this traditional building right at Bären Kino resides since approx. Two years the HendlHouse. The take-away area and the guestrooms can be reached via an outside staircase at the Fachwerk building. In addition to the changing cheap lunch table, the standard card offers many chicken and meat dishes, partly with Austrian impact, such as the tasty, crispy Backhendl. Worth mentioning is the lush, fresh, well-stocked salad buffet, on which, besides greenery, hard cooked eggs, croutons, olives etc. can be found. Many things are convenience food, but appealing and creative. Personally, I would like to recommend the late zlepfanne with peppers and mushrooms especially for vegetarians. Very spicy! The service is usually flotted, the ambience is good-bourgeois."

"The industrial area Böblinger Hulb can not be one of the most welcoming neighborhoods in the city, but one of the most visited. Whether the recent transformation of the former real supermarket into a market purchase is shown by the big Bringer. The huge Asian restaurant, which extends on the first floor over the market, is however very popular. Previously, Terra Incognita and a No-Go area for me, but today's major shopping facilities exhausted so much that I became weak. The first impression of the ascent of the stairs that has come in the years: feed the tens of thousands to an extent that you breathe. At the entrance there are lushly loaded refrigerators with soft drinks in liter bottles, beer bottles, wines in glass containers for self-spinning. Behind them there are huge, multi-row buffets where there is already a busy crumb around 12:15. The place is impressive. Everything is available from the two tables to the long table. On the chairs covered with creamy coughs you feel like a wedding party in an exotic country. We wait for a reception at the entrance or a service in the place for a short time so that we can take the rules of the game from the Flyer restaurant. “Everything you can drink” is available from Monday to Thursday for 15.90 Euro, with the following explanation: “Includes soft drinks (max. 3 bottles of beer or 3 glasses with 0.2 l of wine .” It promises to be entertaining! But first it must be packed. Even the drinks are not served. How to test maximum consumption is creepy for me. Maybe not? The wine tastes medium, but probably not worse than any house wine elsewhere. Amazing that white fruits are offered in an Asian place – right next to the plum wine. The buffet is also an interesting cross over various kitchens: a large sushi offer (not strange: with fried peppered variants!, duck, chicken and beef in various modifications and preparation forms and sauces, rice and noodles in all appearances, salads and raw food, samosa, spring and autumn rolls, crabs chips etc. pp. – and a huge dessert buffet including ice cream. Some in the offer such as tomato mozzarella or olives or mini-mohren heads should not be genuin asian and is probably guilty of the local taste. Some surprises, such as the fragile ice in the taste of “black sesame”. Another taste is completely uninhabited, which we only take heroic. In any case, there is a great cleanliness and an amazing variety. A loadable stomach and a strong constitution are certainly advantageous here. At the buffet there are often fighting mood and food. The clientele consists of a high percentage of pensioners, not only a few with physical restrictions. You have to be undermined on both sides in the course of the meat pots. But also halfway fit guests will probably require some of this place. The path from our quiet seating area at the rear end of the hall to the beverage offer and the already somewhat busy toilets are maximum long. Luckily, a young, concentrated service girl regularly goes for cleaning the plates and glasses used. It is also possible to pay comfortably at the place, of course at the top plan, which however proves to be a reception and disguise. As regards the rules and prices, we should consult the flyer. The above lunch offer of 15.90 euros is available for a maximum of 3 hours. On Fridays and Saturdays you have to pay 18,90 euros, in the evening and on Sundays and holidays even 26,90 euros. And there's another happy hour in there. It is likely that such a tight tactics must go through the halls in the meantime and pick up the exhaustively sunken fighters. Definitely a unique experience!"
