"There are still oases in this country, restaurants that are actually places of hospitality, and one of them is definitiw the mother in the burg in weinheim. we have recently spent a very nice evening with very good eating in a wonderful environment. we found the uncomfortable and friendly service. the two young ladies have very accommodating and attentively accompanied us through the evening and fulfills every additional wish. I am more than happy that I have only read the appreciation of my present today, because we would not have gone into the hell! our impression completely different: the descriptions of the space areas I cannot confirm. in the entrance area they can easily follow the door, which is reached after about five steps and on which clearly visible “restaurant” stands (read helps)! the toilets were not only “in themselves”, but very clean and well lit. since I am not an art historian, I cannot judge whether the restaurant is actually “very old and noble trimmed” or not yet reflects the original condition. I suspect these and find the overall design very successful. I don't think it's embarrassing to go to a restaurant with a good note. if they are ashamed of it, they should leave it or pay the full price – no one is prevented from doing so! Anyway, we liked it very well and we are – even without a Menuett voucher – more colors to come in and have never been disappointed! for us the mother in the castle in every sight – eating, service and environment – the best address in weinheim and surroundings!"

"Nach meiner letzten sehr positiven Bewertung möchte ich jetzt doch mal eine kritische Anmerkung loswerden.Ich war in den letzten Wochen mehrmal Gast in diesem Lokal und hatte den Eindruck, dass der hohe Standard, den ich in 2016 erlebt habe, aktuell nicht mehr gehalten wird. Das betrifft sowohl die Küchenleistung aber noch mehr den Service. Beispiel 1: Die angebotenen Gnocchi mit Ziegenkäse und Trüffel wurden bei meiner Belgeitung mit sichtbar weniger Trüffeln serviert, als das beim vorangegangenen Besuch der Fall war. Am Nachbartisch zu späterer Stunde waren dann gar keine Trüffel mehr sichtbar.Beispiel 2: Das Rinderfilet war zwar perfekt medium, das Stück enthielt aber eine ganze Partie, die von Sehnen durchzogen war. Zudem war der Tellerrand mit einer deutlichen Fettspur versehen. Kein Beinbruch, aber auch kein ästhetischer Anblick.Das Interesse des Service ließ im Verlauf des Abends deutlich nach. Während man früher bis zum Dessert beratend begleitet wurde, war die Aufmerksamkeit nach dem Hauptgang mehr oder weniger erledigt. Während man früher an der Tür verabschiedet wurde (und sich auf den nächsten Besuch freute), konnte man jetzt einfach kommentarlos gehen.Ich hoffe, es handelt sich nur um eine vorübergehende Konditionsschwäche. Wäre schade um das tolle Lokal. Von daher auch noch einmal 4 Punkte. Meine letzten Besuche an sich würden - ehrlich gesagt - bei drei Punkten enden."
