"Excellent location on the west side of the Sydney Opera House, with great views of the Harbour Bridge, Circular Quay & the Harbour. We chose the "Winter Eat's" lunch special. It presented well & tasted great. Attentive service & good wine choices available. Nice place to have a special lunch, in an awesome setting."

"We were exploring the recently extended Macquarie Centre and realised it was almost 3pm and started looking for lunch. Walked out of DJ's on the lower floor and saw the York which is one of the newish concrete floors, high ceilings and minimalist fit out restaurants. The menu was small but offered some very interesting choices and we both opted for Rubens Sandwiches. We both agreed that the sandwiches were well prepared and delicious. We also ordered cafe lattes but were a little disappointed by what we received, particularly when we saw the person a the table beside us receive a latte that appeared to have been prepared in the way we had hoped ours would have been. However, while looking ordinary, the taste was quite good."

"All the food at Ash Street Cellars is nice but a little unsubstantial, perhaps a bit too simple in nature. Don’t get me wrong, I would certainly return. What Ash Street Cellars is good for is probably a ‘ladies lunch’ or a ’post work’ catch up with a girlfriend where you want a delicate nibble and a gossip. It would probably also meet the ‘first date’ brief fairly well when one is keen on meals that are too substantial."
