"In recent years was often with friends in the wine quarter, the quality of the wee, even though not always everything was in stock and the food was always top. the personal was partly very nice, partly still polite.In my last visit, however, we had a "no go" experience: we ordered mob with brot, when the food was served a friend noticed that the brot was moldy and on the crust green. so go back to the waiter. he didn't think it was worth talking an apologies, but only meant "ah yes there is really moldy on it - I don't have a black bread anymore, take it the normal bread basket." I would also consider the further operation as not necessarily friendly. when we paid to another waiter and told him again the broth experience, although he meant that this was not going, but brought us as an excuse averna! said to him that I had no likör or averna trinke, his comment on it: then I gave her to the other waiter (he meant to answer this one the broth story was also unfortunate)"

"We stopped at this place for dinner and ended up spending the entire evening! Our host was a friendly Russian man who owns and runs the bar. Let Jakov fix you up with food and drink! Trust him. He brought us a tray of olives,...cheeses salami's with homemade bread. After awhile he presented us with fresh goose liver and sardines something I had never had but it was good. Next he brought us vegetarian spaghetti which I had asked for. He generally makes meat or seafood spaghetti which I hear from the regulars is delicious. Let him suggest the liquors, wine. Great coffees. What a night"

"This small, cozy, rustic and authentic Osteria is as close as you'll get to southern Italian cuisine, ambiance and hospitality here in Vienna. The fantastic couple that runs the place has a vivid, colorful Salento style. Giuseppe used to be an activist in social issues and in the underground musical scene back in Italy, and he's carried his passion in the heart of Austria. So, you'll hear a background of traditional pizzica salentina, but also more modern combat-folk Italian bands, stuff that will take your guts and make you feel like dancing. But of course food is the core business, so let's talk food. Fully Italian style antipasti are served, and you should let Teresa and Giuseppe serve you with their choice. Pasta is excellent, with tons of seafood or simple tomato sauce. Ask for the special aged ricotta that will add a twist of southern hardcore tastes to the dishes. And easy on the hot chili. It is HOT. And this is from a Calabrese like myself, well accustomed to hot chili peppers. Octopus is a celebrate dish there, but be sure that you'll have a great Italian experience whatever you pick. It was a heart-warming, moving dinner. Actually, two dinners. In three days. You'll see lots of Italians there, which is also usually a good sign. Worth every € you'll pay for the meal, which is in line with Vienna's prices. I'm looking forward to my next visit."

"Såg inte ut som en restaurang, mer som en mysig affär. Hade inte hittat hit utan Trip Advisor. Personalen var mycket vänlig och hjälpsam. Stället känns avslappnat och välkomnande. God mat som känns lagad från grunden med omsorg. Billigt i förhållande till vad man får."
