"I had heard that if you order in advance, they will cook a chicken for you done in tinfoil and then covered in clay and baked with spices. So we ordered and five of us went. It was a wonderful experience. Service was excellent, staff were very friendly although English is not one of their strengths but we managed fine. they unwrap the chicken in front of you, discard the skin and bones and serve just the meat, two good sized platters worth.. The spicing was nice but not hot spicy. It was served with guacamole, black beans, and tortillas if you wanted to make a taco. We also ordered rice for those of us who did not want to make tacos and it was excellent. We also pre ordered a spinach salad with dried cranberries and a honey mustard dressing. All in all, a great meal. With drinks and dessert, the bill was 1500 pesos, about $20Canadian per person, a great value. We would all highly recommend this restaurant. One of the people we were with had been there several times for lunch and said his food was always good."

"While we sit here with the comida corida, we watched the young man who served eight tables that have all suppe, salat, pork or fish, tortillas and a crippled obstwasser. imagine how hard he is to serve all these dishes to the many people...once the tables turned around quickly and he cleared them himself and continued. it is a sweet little place right on the zocala and serves only the meal for lunch. eating is not so tasteful, but edible. it is an interesting local experience. very reasonable at 70 pesos for the meal. the best part was our liter guava juice."

"Had the most delicious dinner at the Kristol Rose now open at Marina Park. Enjoyed dinner with friends. Two of us had the turkey dinner, one had beef Wellington and I had the bacon wrapped stuffed shrimp. We all raved about our dinners, the wine and dessert. Juan has outdone himself!!His menu is extensive and very reasonably priced. We are here for three months and cannot wait to return.Juan is also open for breakfast and lunch.We are so happy Juan re-opened the Kristol Rose at his new location!Enjoy you won't be disappointed!!"
