"When my mom first mentioned trying this place, my husband and I weren’t so sure. She said the parking lot was always stuffed, and it has been open only for a couple of months (6-20-08). But it had been a long time since we had been to a truly good Mexican restaurant, so we went expecting the usual mediocre fare. Boy, were we surprised! The parking lot looked full, though we didn’t look at the whole thing. We just parked next door at the home interiors store that had closed at 5. When we walked in, we were immediately seated, even though the place was very busy. We sat in the farthest dining area, which is probably the best place, since it is quite noisy in the front where the desk is. The decor is pretty much as expected of a Mexican restaurant, which is fine, since it is really the service and the food which shine here. As you look over the menu, your server brings you fresh-made tortilla chips and fresh salsa. Our first visit, he also brought guacamole (again, made right there) and some sort of delicious, white cheese sauce. One way I judge Mexican food is by the guacamole, and theirs is fresh and wonderful! Our first server was very personable and accommodating, and was able to identify a food by the description we gave him. The second time, our server was more businesslike, but certainly not rude or abrupt. She also took our order entirely by memory (5 people) and brought it to us with no mistakes. Uncanny. They are very attentive, too. I don’t think anyone’s glass got half empty before she refilled it tonight. And I don’t think there was an empty seat in the place, so it wasn’t like she didn’t have anything to do. Both times we have come home with three large take-home plates. Their chips and dips can be purchased separately to take home as well… you can even drop in and buy those and leave. The fact that we went a second time says a lot about the place. This is not your average Mexican restaurant. These people pull out all the stops to give you authentic food to die for."

"August 2016: My husband and I stayed at Pensacola Beach Margaritaville Hotel in March (Check out their winter specials! . We had the most beautiful 2 days at this hotel. Our room was nice to fit with sea view. We had the most comfortable stay. We ate dinner and breakfast at Frank and Lola. Enjoy our meals and our free drink. I had a wonderful margarita! Recently we were in Pensacola for a bit of relaxation. We were in downtown Pensacola this time, but we had dinner in Frank and Lola on Saturday night. Our appetizer was great. I wanted to order another one and make it for dinner! It was special for the evening. The appetizer you should have when it is available is the Plantain Cup with Jicama salad inside and a grilled shrimp top. You get three of them. We had the crab cakes for dinner. The waiter was wonderful and made us feel at home. He took pictures for us. Also the young man at the front door was great. He also took pictures for us with the Sunset behind us. The staff made our evening very pleasant. We will return. Can be the place for our 40th wedding party. Most likely we go for another winter special!"

"Had no food pics because it was so delicious! Everything had great taste and spices. The first time here for dinner, but it will definitely not be the last! I got the chamoy margarita, which was NOT disappointed and the man got the strawberry margarita, which was the best combination of sweet and tart."

"The streets tacos are an absolute hit and you can ask for them to mix and match the tacos. The atmosphere, drinks (both alcoholic and not.. the horchata is super tasty), and even the seating are top tier. The chips and salsa that are served freewill have you wanting to come back just by themselves. They have a homemade habanero hot sauce that is muy caliente. On top ofeverything already mentioned the staff is great and Madison is extremely helpful."

"The BEST Mexican food !! The food is fresh and awesome !! Staff were very friendly and also new all about the specials and the menu items. It was very clean. Went on a Saturday night and there was no wait ! I will not go anywhere else for Mexican in the future. I also had leftovers I brought home and it was as good as it was the night before . I had the Chicken Quesadilla and the meat was seasoned just perfect. It was fresh and delicious. You don't want to go anywhere else if you love Mexican food. Very reasonable priced. My meal was not quite 20 bucks . You can't beat that for the quality !"
