"Booked in advance as we were a party of 16. All fine on the phone, reservation made no problem. When we arrived, we'd been split up (half on a table upstairs, half on a table downstairs) as they'd received more bookings since I phoned and they'd split us up so they could fit more tables in.... Not a good start. Waiter was very friendly and helpful (owner considerably less so on the subject of the reservation) and most of the food was tasty and well cooked. However, my husband and I ordered the cote de boeuf for 2 (medium to rare) and when it turned up it was pretty much inedible - over cooked to the point of no return and a really chewy piece of meat. We complained and were told that it had been rare when it had left the kitchen (it must have taken a detour via Australia before it reached our table) and that we'd eaten it all (we only managed to choke down half and then sent the rest back) so it must have been fine and we were clearly complaining about nothing. Customer service is not something that the owner of this restaurant understands. After much arguing, it was begrudgingly agreed that we would only have to pay half the cost of the beef. I would not go back."

"Good stopping point when returning to la Plagne from the Champagny area. But 16 euros for two small coffees and a small piece of tart is too much. It was quite cosy inside. We found a comfy seat with furry cushions. There is a bigger restaurant upstairs. We had a piece of walnut tart which we had to take back because it was too hard to eat. They warmed it up for us and it was then edible."

"Always a great lunch at Plein Soleil with excellent service from Nico and his team. A great terrace in the sun and when the weather's cold a cosy refuge with plenty of tables inside and a wood burner."

"The cottage is very nice; the dishes are delicious; the boss is always kindla salad of the cottage and the salt of the cheese are very good the meat is very good. the products are of quality, the dishes are well presented and the bread very good. The desserts, chocolate-colouring, white cheese behind the scenes of red fruit and gourmet coffee are perfect. Bravo"

"We went there twice during our stay, for lunch and dinner. the restaurant has a great terrace to eat the noon at the foot of the slopes and has a room with a very warm rustic decor for dinner. The waiters are nice and take the time to discuss even in the rush.The tartare was excellent (cut to the knife), the piece also, with good homemade fries, all with a careful dressage. The kids loved the tartiflette pizza they shared. The price is honest, given the location."
