"I’m only giving this restaurant 1 star because I can’t give 0. The saltiest thing I have ever been served. I ordered the steak, had one mouthful and couldn’t eat it. Waiters refused to do anything about it, and then were rude when I politely explained I didn’t want to pay for it. Waiter begun to argue back and so I ended up paying just to get out of the place and continue enjoying my night drinking water to quench my thirst from the saltiness. Considering it a miracle that I wasn’t in hospital with kidney stones, although had I continued eating I may have not been so lucky. Plenty of other restaurants in the marina that are 100 X better than this shambles."

"Food was really nice, pasta cooked well and sauce was really tasty. We'd been earlier in the day and had milkshakes which were also very good which made us go back in the evening. Service was not great in the evening and staff were disinterested in us the menu stated food wait time would be about 20 mins from ordering. We had to chase it up to find that our order had not been passed through to the kitchen we weren't offered any real apology and the restaurant was not as busy as we were there past 10pm. A disappointing experience considering the food was actually good!"

"We arrived fairly late on the first night of our stay at Pinhal da Marina, so we decided to eat at the on site Pinmar restaurant. We walked in at around 7:45, and the place was teeming with young people clearly an organised meal for a large group staying on site. But the staff were extremely helpful and fitted us in, sitting at one of the tables in the bar area. It was a buffet style meal, so we joined the queue and selected our food, which included tasty chicken in a creamy sauce and a tuna pasta meal. There were also a small selection of desserts, and coffee. All for 15 euros. Later in the week we ordered a takeaway meal from the main menu. Our selections included piri piri chicken, fried steak, and spaghetti bolognese. This wasn’t gourmet food, but it was tasty and the portions were more than generous. And it was great value less than 35 euros in total. The staff also lent us a couple of wine glasses, because there were none in our apartment. A very kind gesture. If you are staying at Pinhal da Marina, you should definitely give the restaurant a try. It’s so friendly and welcoming, and incredible value."
