"Your Bento box sets are incredible value at 119 pesos. You can choose from the chicken BBQ or your beef pot pot, but I always go for a quick weekday dinner after work. Pages are also Apligy."

"In all honestly, this is the worst restaurant I've ever been to.

I don't know if their Executive Chef's on vacation for Holy Week (because all the other reviews seem decent), but I cannot stress enough how disappointed we were with the food.

Coming into the restaurant, we had expected a lot. The waiters were professional and seemed to know what they were doing (they served from the left, were friendly, and fast), the live band outdoors set a nice mood, and the complementary bread and butter were hot and fresh.

But the food. Oh goodness the food.
First off, their food ain't cheap. Not at all. With their prices, I think we're allowed to expect greatness, or at the very least something we can stomach.
My mom ordered the sizzling gambas. Right off the bat, I was disappointed with it because it came in a hot plate, but it wasn't sizzling. It was warm and mediocre at best. Surprisingly, that was already the best among all the dishes we would order this night.
My sister had their peppered organic chicken, and all we could taste in the sauce was pepper. It overpowered the entire dish, and my sister couldn't finish it.
My dad had the aglio olio, and it was such a sorry excuse for pasta. It clumped together (suggesting it wasn't fresh) and it just tasted like pasta bathed in olive oil without even a tiny pinch of salt or pepper or garlic.
I had the tuna loin, and it was so depressing. It was cold and GRAY and the "sesame crust" honestlly looked disgusting. I've had a lot of pan-seared, sesame-crusted tunas in my life, and I am being 100% sincere that that was by far the worst I have ever had.

But the absolute worst dish of the night was the escargot soup. I love escargot-- in all shapes and forms, and I've enjoyed escargot in "legit" French restaurants in New York. But this dish LITERALLY made me throw up after eating. It tasted decent (definitely not great, but not horrible) but it was SO OILY. Every sip made me feel like my mouth was coated in grease, and it didn't go away. I wish I had filmed my mom's reaction with her first sip of this soup, she looked so disgusted (which echoes how I felt about this dish).

Even their frozen margarita tasted like water with a splash of alcohol.

The worst part? We had to pay more than 4,000 for that horrible experience.
Never coming back here again. :("

"A place for all ages. If you have kids and still want something to eat for you, bring them here. They have chicken and pasta for your kids and some desserts, and you can choose from a variety of English and Indian dishes to suit your taste buds. For friends outside of office hours, meet up in the pub at the bar and grab a bottle or two before calling them for a day.

Pratha - P115 (looks like naan, but pratha is made from whole wheat flour)
one of my favorites - it's a good starter. Well you can rip part of it if

Chicken Tikka Masala - P455
The seasoning isn't too strong, but it tastes good, except for the little pieces of chicken
Steak Pie - P395
One of the tastiest dishes served with puff pastry! If it doesn't get difficult for you, dig in the chips on the side ????

Spicy Buffalo Wings - P295
spicy? yes too spicy no, not really, but the wings are so tender, best with Guinness beer!

Fish and Chips - P425
also served with pea puree! I liked the crispy and ... read more "

"One of our favourite max's branch. They have this cozy feeling inside. We help the christening celebration of my niece there. The staffs and the manager were really accommodating. They we're able to comply to all our request. The place is clean enough. Although, the parking can be sometimes a problem.

Chicken all you can is back! Sooo excited! :)"

"We went here with our team for lunch. The place is intimate, cozy and suitable for discussion.

I ordered the pumpkin soup, paella (tastes really good), the catch of the day (tastes amazing) and the picatostes (a different take on your regular churros).

Service was a little slow although there weren't many guests at the time. Quite expensive but the food is great. Perfect for casual business meetings."

"Posporo Taqueria allows diners to enjoy their meat dishes in various ways. One can savor Sarsa Adobo Carnitas or Beef Cabeza, on a taco, burrito or rice meal. The taco or burrito serving is perfect for lunch, however for cocktails or Happy Hour the Quesadillas or Nachos would be perfect for beer. Posporo Taqueria is located at the Hole in the Wall food court of Century City. You can actually watch how the huge, chunky taco and burrito are being prepared, or you may wish to wait from your chosen table. Servings are quite big, with lots of vegetables and meat fillings. It’s very filling, inasmuch as you want to try other dishes, the servings are quite heavy on the stomach, and so a second visit is a must. It’s one of the most popular outlets in Hole in the Wall. The meat dishes are the hands down favorite especially those that go for the rice meal. The Beef Cabeza is good, so with the Tocino and Chicken Inasal. If you feel like having something “healthy”, try their Soy Ganisa, spicy soy longanisa, made with paprika, chili and onions."

"To be honest, it was our first time entering a full cafe setup of Seattle's Best Coffee. It's really cozy ad it's even handicap friendly with a ramp for wheelchair access.

They have a new original creation which is the Toasties. It's basically an open-faced sandwich served with a side of crispy potato chips. It is indeed a simple dish. What sets it apart is that the toasted bread is really thick and big. So it's a very filling meal especially with the ingredients topped on it. What I also like is that everything is made fresh. Yes, it's not reheated!Toasties pair perfectly with SBC's hot or over-iced coffee & mocha drinks.

We had the Spam & Eggs and the Sausage & Eggs. For the Spam & Eggs, the toasted bread has mayonnaise all over it and then it's topped with two slices of spam, a poached egg, and parsley for garnishing. They made a good choice of pairing the spam with a poached egg, because an original spam can be quite salty. The egg yolk balances... read more"

"Union Jack Tavern is certainly not your average pub in the metro. The place was different because it had its own uniqueness, from the authentic pub atmosphere and the endless British decors that literally filled every space in the room. Although pubs are more popular in Britain than the Philippines, I still believe that it's a good idea to open drinking establishments like these, so you could experience the traditions of those countries where drinking is fundamental in their culture.

Apart from Union Jacks' authentic looking pub atmosphere, I couldn't help but notice their mini mart, that displayed several English goods like, chocolates, beers , canned goods and many more. It was an area that brought volume to the overall place, so don't forget to stop by!

Despite the place being a Tavern, I believe that the amount of care that they put into their food are just as important as the amount of care that they put into their drinks. So whether you want to drink with your friends, or dine with your family, I guarantee that everybody will be treated equally with both of Union Jacks' food and drinks.

Here were the dishes that were served during our visit ????????????:

➿Chicken Quesadilla➿ (315php)

[ chicken breast chunks, cheese, green chili, and white onions in flour tortilla; served with tomato salsa and garlic sour cream ]

- The filling of the quesadilla wasn't very consistent. Some areas had too much cheese and some areas had too much green chilis. I didn't really understand the combination of the filling since I'm used to having Mexican flavors when it comes to quesadillas. However, I adore the simplicity of it.

➿ Spicy Buffalo Wings ➿ (295 php)

[served celery sticks and blue cheese dip]

- The chicken wings weren't coated evenly in the spicy buffalo sauce but, flavor was good and it also had a kick of heat that's bearable enough to hold.

➿ Fish & Chips ➿ (425 php)

[served with thick cut fries, mushed peas and a side of tar tar sauce]

- Union Jacks' Fish & Chips is one of the best I've had in the metro. The dory was crisp and moist, leaving my every bite with satisfaction. My only concern would be the mushed peas. They were quite bland for my taste. In the end, the fish is still the star of the show and I believe Union Jack has nailed this classic British dish.

➿ Lamb Shank ➿ (595 php)

[ served with buttered vegetables, potato mash, and house gravy ]

- The lamb was surprisingly soft and tender. It literally falls of the bone. It was a great start for the texture but when it came to the flavor, it was a bit of a let down. It tasted very plain and dull, with or without the gravy. Maybe because flavors were too simple that nothing really stood out.

➿ Sheperd's Pie ➿ (425 php)

- I'm not a big fan of Sheperd's pie since I prefer having my pie with a crust rather than plain mashed potatoes. However, I like how Union Jacks' Sheperds Pie was generous with the amount of meat, making each bite very filling.

➿ Sausage Roll ➿ (185 php)

- Love the flaky crust that was wrapped around the sausage. For me, the sausage itself was dry and bland. The side of mustard helped a lot in giving it flavor but it was still my least favorite among the other dishes that we had, but I'm glad that I go to try it.

➿ Chicken Tikka Masala ➿ (455 php)

[ served with rice ]

- Although this isn't the traditional Indian Chicken Tikka Masala that we all know, the authentic flavor and spices were still present despite the British twist on it. It may be paired with rice but I recommend trying it with their Pratha bread.

➿ Pratha ➿(115 php)

- I've tasted a lot of Pratha's in my lifetime and I'm sad to say this wasn't the best that I've had. I mean, it's not bad but the texture could be better.

➿ Chicken and Mushroom Pie ➿ (385 php)

[ tender moist chicken pieces with mushroom, cooked in a white sauce in flaky pastry; served with fries and buttered vegetables]

- Other pies that I've had have really thick crusts, giving you the feeling of being cheated every time. However, Union Jacks' Pie tells a different story. Their pie crust was thin and flaky, just how it should be and it had generous amounts of filling as well. Definitely worth the try

➿ Steak & Gravy Pie ➿ (395 php)

- I appreciate how their pie was filled generously with the steak. The gravy was also helpful in giving the overall pie an enjoyable richness.

➿Chicken Curry ➿

[served with rice]

- It honestly didn't taste like curry but, it actually had a wonderful spiced flavor that was surprisingly enjoyable.

➿ Spicy Chicken Pasta ➿

[ served with garlic bread]

- The pasta sauce was a bit bland for my liking but, I appreciate the generous amounts of chicken that was put into the spicy tomato sauce.

➿ Apple Crumble ➿ (195 php)

[fresh green apples sweetened with sugar and cinnamon served warm and then topped with crumble and vanilla ice cream]

- A classic combination of flavors all in one dessert. There were generous serving baked green apples that were seasoned with a good amount of sugar and cinnamon. Definitely worth the try.

Overall, my visit to Union Jack's was quite interesting. It was definitely a place that's both welcoming and relaxing for beer drinkers, non-fussy eaters and foodies alike. Their food is good and the price is decent for the quality and serving size. So, if you plan to unwind with your date, family, or friends, then come on over to Union Jacks for the experience of a lifetime!"

"I invited by the sales exec to check out theirs rooms and to have lunch this is my first time to eat here. First their rooms are ok more than what i expected. The lunch is buffet and today they are serving filipino food the choices are limited compare to others but quality wise better. I live their okoy to make it diff they make it small so that di nakaka-umay and di matinik i love it together with cucumber salad that will also serve as the dip. Main dish my favorite is the tortang talong im not a big fan of talong but here i ate a lot the taste is different compare the one at home perhaps how they prepare it. The beef pochero is great the beef is very tender at the sauce is not that sour and salty plus the veggies are perfectly cooked. Chicken inasal or bbq is like something unique i find it bit sweet which i like others are ok. Pansit bihon one of the best so far for me. For dessert nobody can beat halo halo for dessert the laman like beans, monggo, macapuno... read more"
