"Best tacos al pastor, hands down. Everyone loves this place: locals, visitors, ex-pats! It's just a stand with a few plastic seats (no bathrooms), and it's not even there everyday, but if it's open, just go and load up!"

"Charming outdoor restaurant at the beginning of Revolucion Avenue. Family run and caters to locals. While I was in Sayulita the main street was under heavy construction and this little place can easily be overlooked. After walking past too many nights I sat down to taste their food and was pleasantly surprised. Their beef is tender and tastie. They have a very wide assortment of condiments, one was a cactus dish which was pretty good for never having had it before. Lots of salsas, spicy and regular. Lovely quiet location away from the madness of the noisy downtown area of Revolucion. The husband and wife team are so friendly and the husband's English is excellent. Highly recommend going as the prices are beyond reseasonable."

"We ate 4-6 times a year and had enjoyed the experience and food before. But the quality of the meal has seriously deteriorated. Our last two visits were sadly disappointing. The food was “simply reheated”, including the ribs that were “warned”... on the open fire pit. Use meals to order ready, and made with care. Not anymore. Guess the walkable volume is enough to keep it and offers a premium experience is no longer necessary."

"You have to try! Very nice service (not to mention the very hot waitress lady!! and the food is excellent. This is not only a small beach bar they make the food fresh and delicious! Try also the good drinks!!"

"Before coming to live full-time in Sayulita I never thought of tacos as a breakfast dish. That has completely changed thanks to Prieto's. I enjoy street food as much as anybody. However, after several bouts of gastrointestinal issues, I tend to shy away from street tacos in fear. Especially not worth it for people visiting for a week.Have no fear when it comes to enjoying the sumptuous carnitas at Prieto's. My family and friends visit Prieto's at least once a week (not Wednesday as they are closed) to feast on pork taco's Michoacán style. I have never experienced any issues with their food. It always delicious. The portions for a $15 peso taco are very fair. You can't go wrong. The salsas that come with the carnitas are the perfect toppers and are mild enough to enjoy with reckless abandon. I especially enjoy the roasted tomato and guacamole salsas.The service is fantastic as well. They are very attentive and responsive. Just remember in most Spanish speaking countries it is impolite for the waiter to give you the bill without you first asking for it. So don't be shy when it's time to leave, just say "la cuenta por favor". So if you are a pork lover who would like to try something other than the traditional American breakfast, try the carnitas at Prieto's. It is located downtown on the main thoroughfare Avenida Revolución just before the Plaza."

"Meat cooked in front of you on street side BBQ. Just around corner from main street. Really, really tasty. Service friendly and good. Can't believe there were not more people in here. Order a plate that was just meat, lots of variety to choose from. They provided sides of chips and salsa, and salad. Prices reasonable. We shared 3 plates between 4 and ate way too much."

"Ok, so the bathroom is a bit primitive. But the food more than makes up for that. We couldn't decide what to eat so we ordered too much. They grilled the meat right there on an open fire grill. The guac was so fresh, we could see and had to wait for the lady to chop the tomatoes and avocados. I had the arrachera and my friend had the Tierra y Mar (see picture of menu). Prices were more than reasonable. Food was more than excellent."

"We have now been to the best restaurant in town! The staff are all very friendly and just to make it even better, it's a non-profit that gives ALL its proceeds to help the indigenous tribe knows as the Huichol. After you enjoy an absolutely delicious meal and great service, stroll into the gallery next door. You will be overwhelmed by the beautiful artwork and crafts. It is next to impossible to not become emotional after a visit to Blue Corn Mama!! Please don't make the mistake of letting this one pass you by!"
