"Tlaxcala is a sleepy town about two hours east of the Distrito Federal. For a variety of reasons, it is a tourist destination for Mexicans...not so much for us from the EEUU. Finding a good meal for a great price is always delightful, to have it served by the owner who is fluent in English (in Tlaxcala) is a real bonus. At the Restaurante Sonetta, near the south corner of the zocalo, Vicente served a superb afternoon menu del dia for an incredibly small price. Our three courses consisted of cheese and aoli with tiny tortilla triangles, a Mexican twist on chicken cordon bleu and a neat dessert of pudding and wafer. This delightful repast was washed down with a scrumptious pineapple drink. Everything was very tasty and elegantly presented. The room was distressed mission architecture. For some reason I felt like I was dining in a cozy corner of Diocletian's Baths. We had a wonderful experience and if you show up in the early afternoon, I'm certain that you will be pleased. Vicente offers a larger menu in the evening and I can only assume that it is equally elegant and delicious."

"A lively and colorful casual restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating, offering lots of excellent local dishes at reasonable prices. But the big draw here is the pulque, a brew made of fermented agave cactus juice. If you haven't had pulque before, be sure to...try the sampler, which included natural, pine nut, guava, passionfruit and strawberry flavors, for a mere 50 pesos. The service is also excellent. Highly recommended!"

"Muy rico y muy buen precio, café delicioso. Estuve el viernes 7 de agosto y me quede con ganas de volver. Pero el domingo en la mañana estuvo cerrado. Muy recomendable. Los chicos que atienden muy agradables y atentos."

"Encontré el lugar porque en la zona de trabajo por la que visité Tlaxcala cumplía con las necesidades de un viajero de trabajo (pago con tarjeta y facturación), la comida no me pareció algo extraordinario, tienen un menú a la carta de desayunos con tortillas francesas acompañadas de ensalada, el precio me pareció algo elevado pero por la pinta del lugar creo que está dirigido a cierto público, en general el lugar bien, al servicio creo que es necesario un Hostess o algo parecido, porque llegué y nadie me recibió y como pude encontré a alguien para preguntar si tenían servicio, si no conoces el lugar y estás buscando algo de comer desde la entrada no se sabe si están en servicio por lo que creo que hace falta más señalización. En general un buen lugar pero para ser un lugar no tan barato hace falta mejorar el servicio."
