"Pleasant staff, found a suitable table for my elderly relative. Good choice of lunchtime menu. Good wholesome cooking well presented. Salmon with a good sauce, well cooked veggies. Veggie lasagne also very tasty. Eton mess enormous, but delicious, not overly sweet which was most acceptable, with real whipped cream and chewy meringue and good berries. Excellent value for money and good attentive service. Thank you."

"We had the pleasure of a Friday night meal here whilst enjoyinging a weekend of glamping at the nearby Wild with Nature. This is the nearest hostelry. Friday is fish night and right from the warm greeting of the landlord and the welcoming atmosphere through to leaving we had an excellent evening. The tables were well spaced, the staff wore masks and the food was tasty, and after just two courses we only had room for a coffee. My wife's King Prawn cocktail starter was a meal in itself, I asked for a single fishcake starter a request readily agreed to and delicious. My wife is gluten free and the gf haddock and chips were exceptional, the batter was the best she has tasted. Cod was also available. We have booked another glamping holiday next October and I look forward to returning to the White Hart."

"Had a lovely meal here yesterday evening with my father and girlfriend, Owner all staff were polite, attentive, genuinely nice people. The food was excellent and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone. Despite being a bit of a drive from where I live it was well worth the drive, we will definitely be returning. Easy 5 Stars. "We came for an early dinner on a Saturday evening. The restaurant was already busy which indicates its popularity. You will definitely need to book for a weekend visit. The service was very good, attentive but not overly so. The dishes we chose were excellent. Definitely one of the best Indian meals we've had in quite a while."
