"After walking in and asking for a table we found they were fully booked, but they did offer us a table outside next to a large heater. It was early spring and still quite cold so after an initial hesitation we gave it a go. I think we made a good choice as the meat was really good and the server kept a good eye on us and made sure we weren’t neglected and the meat was continually turned on our grill. The seafood pancake we had as well was delicious and was a great accompaniment to all the meat. You might have to book in advance to get a table inside but if you’re ok with outdoor seating I’d recommend this place if you’re looking for good quality meat and somewhere to enjoy a few beers."

The chicken was chunky sliced breast meat, and the lamb was cubes of lamb meat. Neither of the curries were hot in spice ordered this way) so I cannot comment on how hot TYI dishes are. I can say the Korma and Madras has a perfect balance of spice, cream and texture. Naan bread was served hot and flavoursome, as were the poppadoms.<br/ <br/ VALUE<br/ The large rice $1) was ample for 2 curries. Compared to expensive alternatives in the area, The Yarra Indian delivered a great meal at a reasonable price."
