"My partner and I were greeted at the door by the rudest Covid safe worker we had ever encountered. His manner was aggressive and very intimidating. We felt spoken down to and very uncomfortable. We took our seat at our table only to hear him...be much nicer to the next couple who came in who were accompanied by children. We decided to leave as we were situated right at the entrance next to this power hungry person. You don’t talk to people like that, especially being the face of the hotel. Poor form Sir. Poor form."

"Been to Golden Flavours a few times now. Every time the service has been excellent, the new owner goes above and beyond to insure we are having an enjoyable experience. The food has been brilliant. We tried some of the Indian curries and they are the best we have ever had. Highly recommend. Do you self a favour and give it a try. Definitely will be back again."

"Very nice hotel in Bendigo and the Yardbird cafe very pleasant. Very friendly and cheerful staff and good food. Only complaint and quite small they seem to be having an identity crisis and unsure whether fine dining or pub classic is the way to go...but stipll very good food."

"Just had pizza again at Dons....always bloody great and excellent value. Staff are super friendly and the owner Tony is a legend! My daughter loves the home made chicken nuggets. Highly recommend!"

"Sunny day, fresh fish shop selling fish and chips across from a lake, hunger strikes. its the perfect solution. For $10 got a lunch pack of Blue Grenadier, potato cake, crunchy chips, lemon wedge, tartare sauce and a can of soft drink. Sat on the grass and watched the world go by. The fish and chips would have to be the freshest in Bendigo.Im hooked!"
