"A group of us went to midori for a birthday party and it was amazing! The staff were so friendly and efficient, the chef was brilliant and the good to exceptional. Will definitely be back for the next special occasion! We sat upstairs and I think I'd try to book up there again, it felt more intimate and private than the downstairs section."

"We come here all the time. The food is amazing. Yes the decor and lack of service is a bit of a problem but you have to just live with that and not get stressed about it. I think English is not a strong point there. The Christmas cd does get changed occasionally with an instrumental one but the Christmas decorations always stay. Tee hee. You just gotta smile. If you go please please close the door properly cause the wind blows a gail through there. The little supermarket next door is fantastic. Enjoy your food is made with love"

"Had lunch with my boyfriend the other day, we had oxtail sup and prawn balado. oxtail was good prawn balado is a bit sweet, i was expecting it's gonna be hot as it calls balado which mean chili sauce. wasn't really happy with it. i still prefer Manise cafe in william street which not too far from tasik!"

"I'm not a beer drinker so I was very pleased to see Long Island Iced Teas on tap. From memory they were about $11 or so and they had a nice citrus zing to them. I've found that food always comes out within minutes of ordering no matter how busy they are. The calamari, poutine and pizzas were all pretty good, nothing to rave about. Plates and glasses were always cleared promptly."

"It's an awesome place to hangout. Hotpot, egg roll are the best! With soju and beer, nothing can go wrong. The manager was awesome as he overlooks the area and ensure everyone is well attend to."

"Things started out well here. We had a Groupon voucher and began with a bottle of wine, included in the voucher. This made it very good value, despite being a very cheap bottle of wine it was still a nice wine so that's a positive! The entrée was really good very tasty onion bhajis and nicely spiced vegetarian samosas. Next were two curries we were able to choose ourselves. We had chicken korma spicy; and beef madras medium; a garlic naan and saffron rice. The curries were extremely disappointing. Virtually no heat whatsoever I'm a bit sensative to spice and I couldn't detect ANY chilli. They were tasty but nothing outstanding. The garlic in the garlic naan seemed to be bottled garlic and was SO thickly spread it stayed with me for the rest of the night and wasn't very pleasant. The naan bread itself was nice, it just would have been better with fresh garlic and less of it! The rice was fine, as was the dessert that came with our voucher.<br br/>Service was friendly and helpful. The ambiance was ok. It felt a little tired and dated and the plastic table cloth made it feel a little cheap. The bathrooms were in serious need of some TLC. I don't normally comment on things like this as I feel it should be all about the food and service but a bit more care should be taken, especially when the restaurant wasn't busy so that can't be blamed.<br br/>I'm not saying this place wasn't enjoyable as it was excellent value for money having the voucher and very good entrées. Just missed the mark on a few other important areas."
