"If I could give a zero star then I would. I have no idea where all the and star reviews came from. The fact that some refer to the restaurant' suggests that they are fake since this is a TAKEAWAY restaurant. I ordered...a shish kebab starter which tasted of and had the consistency of reconstituted meat. Next up was a curry there is no point in specifying which one as my gut feel is that they will all look and taste the same. Opening the lid, I was faced with a thick glutinous looking brown soup as if it had been put through a liquidiser. It looked totally unappetising. The taste was, well, just hot. No subtlety of flavours that you get with a proper curry. Mouth feel was as if I was eating baby food. Supposed to have had chicken in it. I fused around in hope and came up with some square lumps of reprocessed tasteless rubbery chicken. The pilau rice was tasteless and dry. The papadum was OK. Never again for me,. Truly dire."

"In this pub we were so often on the go for some years, but yesterday we decided to eat there for the first time. the food was tasty, it was an excellent value for money, the portion size was huge and it came out in time. real 5-star rating!"

"This was just what the doctor ordered after a weekend yomping across Northumbrian hills and countryside. I had to ask the nice cashier what vegan options were available on a rainy Sunday evening and he kindly gave me plenty to choose from, but I went for the classic Vish and Chips. Overall I was pretty pleased with my choice and sat eating whilst watching the RNLI lifeboat come ashore. Doesn’t get much more seaside than that…"

"Ordered chip buttys and a small f c we were met with rude and offensive staff who despite being the only customer (it was national fish and chip day) we were told there'd be a wait mins) only then to find our food...dry and stone cold. A number of attempts was made to complain but have received no reply. Will not return and would certainly not recommend"

"We went to sambucas blyth tonight for my daughters 6th birthday this was our first time going to sambucas we were greeted with a huge smile very friendly staff . Nothing was too much realy went the extra mile . The food was delicious couldn't find a fault in anything ! Portions were huge my daughter left very happy and so did we great atomospere . Great staff n fab price we couldn't belive we've missed out on this treasure for all these years will definitely return thank you for a lovly meal and atomospere"
