"The afternoon tea was nice, I had a glass of prosecco and charged the same as if I was having a class of champagne!! The food was nice but there was not enough jam or cream for two people and the jams were stuck together there was only one scone each, anywhere else serves two or the scone is a large one. Staff were lovely thank you"

"Al-Shami is a decent spot for Middle Eastern food in the town of Oxford. Now our friend has raved about this place since moving to Oxford for school, going to this spot about 1-2 times per week. She actually said that their falafels were better than Zaki Kabob in Berkeley which Ryan S. couldn 't believe because to him ZK is God of Kabobs. You get a complimentary platter of whole and chopped vegetables. Interesting presentation as it came with a whole green bell pepper, a whole tomato, radishes, and cut up carrots and pickled something or other. The falafels were good but not solid. The chicken kabob was moist on the inside, dry on the outside. Stand outs for the meal were the feta cheese and spinach spanikopita-like appetizers and baklava-like dessert. It is pricey at £50 which translates to $80. Yikes..."

"Delicious food. Best Indian food I've tasted in Oxford. Can actually tell the difference between all the dishes. Service is excellent too. "Situated just off Magdalen Street in Friars Entry cage is ideally situated if visiting nearby Ashmolean Museum you fancy a sit down. Visited cafe lunchtime Saturday 20th February, we ordered coffee which was good a couple of paninis's which were freshly prepared were served with an accompanying salad garnish crisps. The staff are friendly the cafe is clean tidy. The price for the three coffees two paninis at around £13 was very reasonable. Free wi-fi advertised in the cafe although not used."
