"We had sizzling beef with garlic chips with sizzling chicken with ginger onion for main course. Spring rolls deep fried mushrooms for starters. And bottles of water. Absolutely fantastic meal. A snip at Well worth the visit."

"One of the worst meals I have ever eaten in Portugal, chickpeas and chicken , it was revolting, my friend and I couldn’t eat it . Just a pot full of tasteless chickpeas and no meat on the chicken , just skin and bone , it tasted old and re heated , very stale Won’t go back"

"We had been to this restaurant several times before when the previous owners had it and it was always fantastic and great value. This time however it was the worst meal we had on our recent stay in Alvor. First of all the staff did not seem to know what was happening in the restaurant with several people including us being brought the wrong meals. I ordered soup and chicken piri piri and my wife ordered prawns and sea bass. My soup was cold and had to be reheated and was tasteless, my piri piri had very little chicken and was swimming in oil, and the salad that came with it was a plate of sliced tomatoes. My wife’s prawns were tasteless, had no sort of sauce and at €13 was grossly overpriced. Her sea bass was ok but the whole experience was shambolic and I am afraid we will not be back"

"Best cataplana in town. It is monkfish, clams, prawns (massive), potato, onion, peppers, cooked in a copper dish with a sauce to die for. Enjoy that overlooking the beach, with the famous Alvor sunset happening around you!! So much more than just a beach bar!!"

"Personligen hade jag inte väntat mig att finna en så prisvärd och vällagad fisk på stranden men jag blev definitivt motbevisad. Red snapper med tomatris gjorde lunchen till en liten vardagsfest (även om det var på en söndag.) Personalen trevlig, personlig och tillmötesgående."
