"I just wanted to take a couple of minutes to say something about my visit the other day I made a booking through email and was texted a very welcoming yes arrive at 5.30pm for your table Upon entry was greeted with a nice big smile and shown to our seats. We was asked for drinks which arrived quickly and then ordered our food!!! What can i say about the food except wonderful and fresh and hot We had a cheese garlic flat bread which was tasty My pie was delicious and my wife's chicken was beautiful It was a Thursday which was a discounted night on full price but would not of hesitated to pay full price!! When leaving a restaurant if I'm not full something is wrong well I wasn't and then went home and fell asleep with a full belly Thanks to all the staff at the cedar tree especially the girl behind the bar with the glasses sorry forgot your name but it makes a good start with a big welcoming smile well done Keep up the good work we will be back"

"We hired the room for a joint birthday celebration for all the family which was free( refundable deposit !! The room is very spacious and we brought our own buffet food. The staff are very accommodating and we will definitely be hiring this room again. Thank you for making our day so special xx"

"Couldn't have been happier. We were a table for 5 plus dog. They do a good, standard pub menu executed flawlessly. For the price, I can't think I've found a better pub meal. The young man who served us was lovely. Will be back again in a heart beat."

"Only ever left positive reviews for this place, it’s been our go to for years but currently seeing things slipping, the past 5 orders have all had something either wrong or missing. When the orders come wrong you notify them they say they will send it now it arrives more than an hour later. Burgers arrive with salad and sauce although selected none due to allergies so not like it can just be removed and most recently a pizza missing most of the toppings, so it was basically a pepper and onion pizza. 4 out of the past have have arrived luke warm at best too. We don’t own a microwave out of choice which means it ends up not being eaten. Also the chips keep changing and the newer ones aren’t nice. All of these errors are easily avoided if staff read the order properly. Defo need to go back to delivering the same quality what they used to. That being said the donner meat is the best in the area by far so worth a try if you only want a kebab."

"Used this place a lot before and during lockdown went here for Sunday lunch yesterday and was very disappointed portion sizes left you wanting more and still hungry ice cream Sunday’s were 4.95 but came in kiddies size portions as far as the food goes it was fresh and tasty as always but think the management need to look at the spec on the portion sizes as they certainly don’t match the prices your paying being head chef in the industry myself I always give value for money this definitely was not won’t be using the archer again unless something changes"

"Took my Rotweiler a few times, it's nice to go in a pub with a big dog and people don't look down on him. The staff give him treats and come and stroke him, always a filled water bowl. Great food they do dog Sunday dinners which go down a treat for £2.50 a lovely normal roast dinner too. The food menu has a lot of variety. Brilliant view of the canal from the carpark. We love it here"
