"Came in after a tipoff from an irish friend that a new head chef was in the house.After finding a parking space (which is the fault of the city of subiaco) we wandered in. a quick walk upstairs to the bar/pub floor and we were greeted by a crowd of patrons enjoying sunday dinner with their kids, but none of them were running about screaming and tripping up servers. No no no, they were all sitting in the corner of the spacious room playing amongst themselves!We went up to the bar and were greeted by a nice gent who directed us to the board to the side for the standard meals and informed us that there was a selection of bar nibbles for on the menu was and the drinks were priced at under br/>I ordered the Risotto and the Missus ordered the Sausages on Colcannon.After a short wait, minutes) our food was brought out to us, My risotto was a simple, but pleasant, affair and a generous portion for The betters' Sausages were almost like chipolatas in size, sitting on a very generous scoop of Mash with green leek cooked through it, a small amount of buttery mushrooms covered in a rich onion gravy, With slices of caramalised onion through it!<br br/>All in all, a pleasant evening,"

"Very yummy chilli baby soft shell crab here which I always have. It reminds me of home (Footscray) except that they have this really cool self-service area where you can get as many herbs, spring onion, onion, lemon and sauces as you want. I really love being able to help myself and it's good that they waste less. They are very flexible and accommodating and the owner is very friendly and attentive. I really like going there and will keep going back all the time. The atmosphere is good, lots of worker types on their lunch break during the day and very relaxed and friendly in the evening, too."

"The owner/manager was super accommodating in a last minute booking for a large group. Service overall was ok, our server was really sweet and friendly (and even engaged in chatting with one of the toddlers in our group).<br>

We had the endless feast for $35: starting with salad (average), fried polenta chips (love how crispy it was, sadly it was bland and could have done with some salt) and fried chicken (a couple of the pieces were uncooked and completely raw), followed by pizza (loved their different range of pizzas), pasta (carbonara and spaghetti were the best) and then the platter of meat (kind of meh, the pizza and pasta tasted better).<br>

Overall, the food was pretty average. You definitely load up on carbs while waiting for the meat platter (we waited just over an hour before the meat course came out) only to be disappointed when it came out. Pizza and pasta were the best courses.<br>

"My friend and i stumbled upon this place by accident. It wasnt very noticeable outside but when we saw it and looked inside, we instantly became curious. It has a very homey feeling and i love it thanks to the ambiance and the lady who served us. The spring rolls and the sauce were really good. I ordered the caramelised pork and i couldnt be happier. The pork was cooked really nicely and the serving size was huge. The following day i brought some friends and im sure i’ll be bringing more friends to this place soon! "

"Great little coffee shop on the corner of Rokeby and Heytesbury Road in Subiaco. Tasty treats and lunch food. Coffee is very nice. Plenty of seats. Extremely friendly staff. Highly recommended."

"We lunched here mid week when most of the tables were empty. We still had to put up with the have you a reservation? questions. The Menu is basic French nothing exciting. The staff attentive if a little pretentious. We left feeling slightly ripped off. Very Expensive!"

"Sen Viet is a very understated restaurant, people often walking past the unassuming entrance for other more 'popular ' places around Subiaco. I was quite pleased walking in and being seated at a table without a long queue. We were greeted with a very welcoming waiter who seemed to be working with only one chef in the kitchen. I decided to order the stir fried beef with egg noodles, which was not only absolutely delicious and filling, but tasted authentic as well. We then received complimentary oranges after the meal which was a surprised welcome. I definitely recommend this place and will be returning in the future."
