"Went for food, didn’t get sat down for 10 mins then didn’t get asked for a drink for 20 mins. Walked out, don’t know how you can run a place that doesn’t even ask you for a drink when you sit down. Absolutely useless"

"Please- please do NOT go to this Chinese restaurant. We had lunch there today and quite honestly it was the very WORST Chinese meal /buffet we have ever had . Food was dry and totally tasteless and the small amount we did manage to put...on our plates, first had to be scraped off the serving dishes . How can any “restaurants” sorry but I use that word very loosely feel good serving rubbish up to paying customers as this place does. You can believe the few odd good reports about the New Eastern Court if you wish to but don’t take my word for this review. Go and try it , then tell me I got it all wrong. As an adult family over the years we always tried to check out any local Chinese restaurants, this today was a first for us and DEFINITELY THE WORST EVER. In fact while I am writing this I can still taste the horrible grease from over 3 hours ago .in a word the food was DISGUSTING and I made that clear at reception as we were leaving the premises. I never usually complain but on this occasion I definitely had to."

"It is a transport cafe so you get what you pay for, if fry ups are what you like then it is fry ups you get, the other meals once again are transport cafe favourites, it does what it says, if you want lobster bisque and fine dining you won;t get it here, but it is not catering for that market. Scania and Volvo lorries Ford Transit vans is what you will see in the parking area not Beemers and Mercs. Daily Mirror and The Sun on the tables to read, not The Times crossword. You get what you pay for, and what you pay for is what you get"

"Spur of the moment but a great find though initially I did wonder judging from the exterior. Pleasant menu it was like a throw back to the with mother' doing the cooking and somewhat dated furnishings, Nevertheless a pleasant pair of toasted teacakes....As we were in Yorkshire a good showing of various combinations of Yorkshire puddings, gravy etc etc"

"We travelled nearly an hour to get to the museum but it was worth it just to eat at the cafe here. The food all looked fantastic. The home-cooked steak and ale pie and fresh vegetables was delicious. I would highly recommend this. The cakes...looked fabulous too."

"We always used to enjoy Chinese meals from here but then we had a few bad ones and switched loyalty. Tried it again last week and it was okay. I don’t think it’s as tasty as our regular but the phone was none stop and our food was okay. I wouldn’t travel miles to buy from here but you can do much worse if you’re passing by. The lady who does the front of house is lovely as well. If carlsberg did Chinese food it would probably be better than the Double Dragon. It doesn’t so this is ok,"
