"We brought them to lunch yesterday. there is always a little concerned when in the middle of the lunch service at a weekend there is only one occupied table in the event, but we might think that was because it was new and decided to give it a shot. big mistake! we ordered two focaccias for lunch. they came to the table quite quickly. the chicken focaccia floated in mayonnaise and although it was roasted, that was quite cold. the avocado was ripe and the sun-dried tomaten there was a little taste, but I would have made a better job to house my own focaccia. on the plate was no green or garnished, only a focaccia that was halved. the problem was the second focaccia. when the waitress broke it at the table, she knocked over the bottle water and flooded the plate. without an apology, she took him back and went away. 60 seconds later the kitchen bell sung and she returned the focaccia to our table. it was literally picked up from the water-registered plate and on a fresh, but the floor of the focaccia was totally soggy. when we complained and asked for a fresh one, the focaccia disappeared back into the kitchen and returned within 2 minutes with a fresh (unsaturated) lid, but the same woundy base they had clearly tried to dry under the grill (if at all) it was inedible! we asked about the bill and that is where it gets even more incredible! they tried to charge us for the water logged in focaccia. when we explained that half of them were completely unusable, they accused us for half of them. there was no excuse. no eye contact from the waitress who served us merciless, and if there was a manager in the building, they did not have to come and apologe for the bad service and the food. avoid at all costs! at $11 and above for a simple focaccia this place will soon go out of business, especially if they don't care to get their service or the quality of food from the kitchen. it is not difficult to make a sandwich and to throw out a water logged in (due to the clempner of the staff) and again should not begin to break the business budget. I want to tell everyone they avoid this place!"

"Hyde Park is a nice suburban area close to Adelaide city with a number of dining choices. Stumps is a friendly bar and light dining. On a warm Saturday evening in Adelaide it was a nice way to have some red, enjoy food and the passing parade.Service was friendly and just right. Wine selection was small but with some good choices, especially the Skillogalee (Clare Valley) Shiraz Cab.Price for a shared starter (a very nice pate with freshly, lightly toasted bread) and two mains (steak and a burger) was very reasonable just under $50, including the bottle of wine."
