"We never experienced a waiter being as unfriendly as in this place. We wanted to eat and drink with four people outside. There were ashtrays on the tables that hadn‘t been cleaned in a while and that smelled accordingly. We wanted to put them away which made the waiter quite angry. We explained that as non-smokers we didn‘t need those ashtrays. According to him, however, in a café, there were always people who liked to smoke and that consequently we should simply accept the ashtrays and the smell and that we were not allowed to change anything in the tables’ arrangements. Gun fact: no other table had ashtrays on it. Neither inside nor outside. We left."

"We went on recommendation from a friend & were not disappointed. The proprietor is from the Aveyron and the food was real French traditional fare. We shared a charcuterie starter of saucisse d'Aveyron, then mains: rump steak with frites & salad and a salad of duck breast and foie gras. Beautiful food washed down with a pichet of Chinon red wine that was lovely. Our bill was under €50 plus a tip! Across the street is the Promenade des Artistes that gives the place it's name, a high level walk on an old rail viaduct. It is worth a visit too!"
