"Had dinner one evening and left stuffed due the very large portions. Starter of deep fried feta was very enjoyable followed by mixed grill plate with pork chop, souvlaki, meatball gyros, rice and potatoes. Very tasty but had leave half the main course as so...much food. The service was attentive and friendly and staff spoke English."

"Until a few years ago my wife and I have been here more often, but for health reasons this is unfortunately (almost not possible anymore and we have therefore used the delivery service in recent years. Unfortunately, this Taverna Hellas has gradually left behind in recent years as regards the quality of food. This restaurant, as well as 80 90% of the rest of D's gastronomy, is obviously increasingly relying on prefabricated industrial food from large companies such as Metro Konarten. In particular, the very expensive cold or warm appetizer plates now consist almost or completely only of canned fraß, which becomes increasingly low quality. There is nothing more self-made or home-made and comes only from cans, glasses, bags, canisters, TK chest etc., which unfortunately you also taste when you still know the previous quality of 10, 15 years ago. Too bad. The amiente in the restaurant itself is of course typical Greek, as it would be expected as a tour. There is also a separate smoker area with 6 (or 8? tables for 4 people each. The staff is very nice and often or i.d. there is also an ouzo on the house after dinner."

"Ich war dort mehrfach Essen und war für das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis auch immer recht zufrieden gewesen. Klassischer Grieche mit typischer Speisekarte in Deutschland. Damals noch ein Chefkoch der mit den Gästen gesprochen hat, dazu ein Ouzo oder Espresso am Ende. Herzlich, einladend, südländisch - so wie man es kennt. Hervorheben möchte ich das Tzatziki und das frische Brot. Sehr lecker. Die Speisen sind für die Portionen durchweg günstig und auch schmackhaft. Das Publikum besteht eher aus Älteren Menschen, was aber auch an dem Ortsteil Baumschulenweg liegt. Das Lokal ist typisch griechisch eingerichtet und erfüllt damit auch das letzte Klischee.Das Servicepersonal bietet die ganze Palette an – von herzlich und einladend bis wortkarg und muffelig, wobei die männlichen Kellner eher zu letzteren neigen. Der Knaller aber war die letzte Erfahrung, wo ich die Symbiose aus südländischer Gastfreundschaft und deutscher Ordnung erleben durfte.Ich bat um zwei verschiedene Beilagen (Reis „UND“ Pommes Frites) zu einem Hauptgericht, was nur mit einer dieser Beilagen auf der Karte angeboten wurde. „Das sei nicht möglich“, sagte mir die Bedienung. Wie bitte? Warum? Auch auf eine erneute Bitte und den Hinweis, ich würde selbstverständlich beide Beilagen bezahlen, wurde mir dieser Wunsch – nun sichtlich genervt - nicht erfüllt. Ist das nun ein positives Beispiel für gelungene Integration? Denn noch „deutscher“ geht es ja kaum oder einfach nur ein logistisches? Keine Ahnung, da keine Begründung. Das war damit auch mein letzter Besuch in diesem Lokal. Schade."

"Wir bestellten vom Wochenmenü 2 Gerichte. Als Beilage nahmen wir gebratene Kartoffelecken. Die waren vom Vortag und in der Mikrowelle aufgewärmt worden. Einzig das Fleisch war wohl frisch gemacht. So was muss nicht sein deshalb nur mittelmäßige Bewertung. Werden aber dort nicht mehr Essen gehen."
