"One doesn't expect fine dining in a seaside, beach town - but Taverna Rhodos is an exception. Our meal was outstanding. Five stars! Taverna Rhodos is truly a hidden gem, a pleasant ten-minute walk from the busy and noisy tourist area.I had the Gourmet Grill plate with perfectly prepared lamb, pork, beef and giant shrimp. Beer (Pilsner) was fresh from the barrel. And complimentary ouzo completed our dining experience on the perfect note. We will definitely go back. After 6:00 p.m. both the restaurant and outdoor patio seem to fill up quickly, so reservations probably a good idea."

"For over 30 years, for so long we are SPO holidaymakers, standing over the flanier mile of the Taverna Rhodes. A simple white house in North German style with an entrance gate worn by Greek columns. Close to the residential block of the high-rise Atlantis, a building sin from the 70s and the beautiful detached houses of the locals, where the upper floor is often rented as an apartment. At the end of 2018 another tenant came back and his successor was opened in March. All right, we know each other. If the neighbor of the landlord's friend had said the apartment. that surprised us because we only know the house from outside as sloppy and careless. But it could be different now. Since our acquaintances, who used to be regular guests of the strange restaurant Stuber in the bathroom, wanted to go to Rhodes, we came along. Knowers had reserved a table 6:00 and we were curious. The restaurant is no longer open at noon. Because of the cold of the ice healers, the outdoor area is not yet prepared. In a rather small, dark guest room. We thought about our friend who had to watch with gluten. Since we suspected that finished products that only come into the microwave are used here. Now to what should be in the stomach. Giros was also sold out, Souvalaki. But bifteki with Pommes and Zsaziki and salad at 15.50 Euro. Two times. Grilled pork medallions also available at 17.80 Euro and ordered 2x. The meat portions that were lush in the Greeks were quite small. The pommes were stubborn and did not taste fresh. Salad, a little of everything, and Zsaziki, in our opinion, were a finished product. Everything from bucket and bottle. Taste more than not convincing. We were fed and that was it. Ordering a second drink was not possible. Almost and unfriendly we were told that the table is reoccupied and the bill presented. Although we pointed out two couples, an invoice came for us four. We've never done that before. When I left the Ouzo on the house because I don't drink alcohol, the operation was more than caught. Is it not until Greece that there are people who still live with 0 promille for reasons? Price limit not justified. Time and again!"
