"Absolutely fabulous family pub! Excellent menu with plenty of choice and very flexible for children! We were looked after brilliantly by Steph, Danni and Nayel who were not only friendly and attentive but also interacted with the children who were provided with an abundance of crayons, paper and puzzles. The food was excellent and a lovely ambience. Leave room for desert!"

"Maybe it was the endless signs about parking, or maybe it was the staff taking all the beer mats off the tables at 9 o’clock, or maybe it was just the staff in general, but somehow I just left with the impression that the pub could not really care if they had any customers or not."

"This was our second visit here. The concept of mixed Eastern European food is good and our meals ( beef cheek, dumplings, lamb pilaf) were flavoursome. The service was very ho- hum. The place was almost empty but the cocktail took so long to arrive it came just before the meal. The staff could not answer questions about the wine and overall it felt somewhat overpriced."

"I would recommend that I have eaten so nicely, and I hope that was a way out. my father in law asked for a potte with his meal came after the meal, even if we asked for it. there were only girls who commanded and served. when you needed someone, no one was there. I was glad that we ordered the part of fish and chips of a child, because my father did not have a great appetit in the law. Perhaps this is something to consider smaller proportions if desired. at the same time the chips that came with the fish were disappointing again. as I said, I hope that this will not be the regular service that goes forward."

"First time for a meal (midweek) since the recent change of ownership. We liked the hotel before but had only been for drinks not food. Service and appearance of the hotel is still excellent and the food we really good. I have the vegan choice and the home made burger was one of the best I have had. Small but well chosen wine List: the Rioja we had was as described and very nice. When the bill came we were pleasantly surprised. Will be back."

"Went to the maven for an anniversary dinner. The atmosphere was very romantic and chilled. The service was very quick and we weren't kept waiting for our food. I found it very good that they offered a vegan menu and you can mix and match for same included price. The food was nice. I had the Thai chicken laska, the only thing I can say is that there was still cartilage and alot of skin left out the chicken, so it tampered with the overall quality of the food. Overall I did have a pleasant experience, will return when restraunt week is on, as quite pricey for quality otherwise"

"The crispy potato skins for beginners were soft, not crispy at all, which was disappointing. 3 of the 4 main dishes were very nice. Meat Pizza, Prawn Linguine and chorizo Pasta dishes were all good quality and delicious. However, the burger was over cooked and had to be left. There was such a good selection of beer and beer on the train, and a variety of gin and rum that were reasonable price. Overall, however, I should say that our overall experience was average, and I would not come back."
