"I had not been to Union since it was a Mexican restaurant in a former life. I often use the off season to try restaurants that are crowded during the summer. Frankly, my expectation was not high when I stopped by on a Friday night to dine with my wife and adult son. We were greeted warmly by the hostess (who was dressed to kill) and seated at a lovely table with a lovely cloth and setting. On Friday and Saturday nights Union has live music. In this case it was a singer/guitarist and a keyboard player. They were excellent and played requests. The waiter (Chris) was attentive and informative. The food was fresh, timely and delicious and the wine selection was on point for me. We ordered some specialty sushi rolls which were all presented well and two veggie sides. Everything was tasty and fresh. For the Hamptons, the price was to be expected. Not cheap, but not rip off either. Union Sushi Steak is now on my go to list (at least until the hoards of summertime visitors return) ."
