"Food is good, but the service is not so great. We were left standing at the hostess stand for 10 minutes waiting to claim our reservation. Ignored by the waitress for a solid 15 minutes before she came to our table. 2 of 3 drinks arrived in a decent amount of time, but the third was much longer. Again, food is very nice, but the service is really slap dash. Certainly don't go if you're in a rush, but if you're at your leisure, you can decide how much of being ignored you can tolerate."

"The presentation of the food was beautiful, but we were immediately sick after. The Royal Orleans was pungent and undesirable. We asked for it to be cleared from the table. The cheese plate was fantastic. The rest we would not order again."

"I love the fresh oysters on the half shell. They are consistently fresh and tasty especially when combined with a green salad and a Bullet Rye Martini. I must say though that the noise level is unacceptable. When I can't hear the person sitting next to me and have to shout for her to hear me it creates a very uncomfortable dining experience. After all, dining out is not just about the food, but about sharing a meal with friends. For this reason, and this reason only, I am hesitant to return or to recommend Pen Quill. Thanks"
