"This restaurant had their crabcakes featured on a food network show, so we thought they would be good. I even opted for the jumbo lump ones thinking I would be in for a treat. Sadly, neither the traditional nor the jumbo were anything to write home about. They were no better than the frozen Phillips ones you can buy at the supermarket! My oysters rockefeller were giant and a bit bland. The general consensus with the group was that everything was somewhat mediocre. Even the key lime pie left a lot to be desired – the meringue was nice, but the key lime part was an odd green color and way too sweet. They did offer a $25 dollar early bird meal of an appeitzer, entree and dessert. If I were to go back, I would only opt for that – no need to pay a premium for some of the other menu items. They did offer free valet parking, which was good. They also had some live piano music and seemed to be able to accomodate large groups. Not too likely I would make the journey to return, though…"

"Truly enjoyable… I have to say this is the best seafood experience I’ve had as of yet in the DC area. Great service, a small but interesting choice of menu items, as well as a wide array of wine choices. I started with their oysters (chef’s choice) and followed with their signature dish… a pistachio encrusted salmon. Finished with a hazelnut chocolate mouse over a nutty chocolate cake base which was surprisingly well done."

"The thing that caught my eye about this place was the raw oysters and other restaurant goers waiting there also said it is the raw oysters that bring them back. So at my visit, they were offering $1 oyster happy hour, 3 kinds. I got a half dozen which consisted of kusshi, eagle rock, and one other I can’t remember. They were delicious, fresh and silky tasting. My favorite was the kusshi which had a slightly sweet taste, but they are small in size. For dinner, I ordered the lobster roll. It was full of lobster meat chunks in a light sauce with some celery that didn’t have enough sauce and salt, but you could really taste the lobster. It was served on a butter grilled toast that had just the right amount of crunch. It isn’t as good as the one at Mary’s Fish Camp in NYC, but it’s pretty good. The lobster roll was served with old bay fries that were not crispy or flavored evenly. They tasted like they had been sitting around for a while. Overall, I will definitely go back and get more raw oysters and try a few other things that were recommended, popcorn shrimp and calamari."

"Chicken liver pate and AMAZING cheesy popovers to start- you know this will be a tasty meal! Had some fresh oysters to start followed by a steak. Had the braised carrots and asparagus on the side. Everything was prepared just right and very tasty! For dessert the blueberry lemon meringue pie with lemon sorbet was a perfect ending! Liked the vibe here more than at the NY location – a little more relaxed and less “business”."

"The food presentation was great, outdoor seating was refreshing, the ambiance was also good. Now let’s get to what could be improved. The service was a little slow, even things like lemon took a while to arrive, even though we watched our server pass the table many times. Additionally, used dishes remained on the table, even after a new course had arrived. Now the food, I had scallops and my partner had Halibut (seared). My scallops were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside which is good for me. However my Risotto was unappetizing, it was hard and crunch and the flavor just tasted like salted water. I had to send that back and it was replaced with a Cesar salad, which came DRENCHED in dressing. Next time I would Recommend asking for the dressing on the side, if you don’t want your salad to be soggy by the time it arrives. My partners halibut was tasty, he did however find many small bones in the fillet, so be careful. His side dish was jasmine rice, and it was a disaster. He explained that his rice was so dry with a freezer burn taste, almost like it had been frozen many times and lost its natural flavors. His rice was replaced with a whipped mash potato, which he enjoyed.Dessert options were limited on that night, they only had two options. None of which we were interested in, therefore we went to another establishment for dessert.Overall, we would return to give this establishment a second try. Thank you"
