"Came here for a work Christmas party, and I must say.. I was blown away by the impeccable service! Very very impressed at how attentive, friendly and quick our wait staff were. Tables were cleared promptly each time someone got up for a new plate at the seafood buffet. Food was also delicious! The highlight was the unlimited seafood oysters, prawns and Crab (weeknight buffet not sure if there's more on a weekend). Buffet was well taken care of and always topped up so looked very attractive. Desserts were amazing too my fave was the massive creme brulee, and my mocktail was very tasty. All in all, I would highly recommend coming here and I will definitely be back!"

"One of the busiest restaurants I've ever been in! But staff were friendly jovial despite being under the pump, and the food was delicious. Maybe reduce the servings... way to much food. But it's a place I'll definitely return to!"

"Great staff can be hard to come by, but Nobu is undoubtedly great. We have been staying at the marriot for years now and every year we return Nobu has made our nights dining out at either Benihana or Citrique wonderful. Remembering us and...our names every year and sharing laughs and great experiences with Nobu has made each time we return to the Marriot something very special and nostalgic for us and I thank him for that. You’re a legend Nobu. From Conor, Georgia, Kirsten, Jordan Antonella."

"I have to admit I'm finding it hard and conflicting writing this review. We have been coming here for their buffet breakfast for that last two mornings and we love it. As we are here on holiday me and my partner thought we would come here for a nice intimate dinner for two as we only have this one dinner with out the kids. So we had booked in advance for this dinner and when we got their. They asked us would we like the buffet seafood or al a carte menu. I didn't know what I wanted. The man was so grate he showed me what was on offer. To me it all looked a bit sad with what was on offer I would not be happy eating that sea food.I said politely we would not be having the buffet seafood dinner. The man told us to just grab a seat any where. This made me un happy because seating was not organised for us even though we had booked in advance and then when we did say were we wanted to site that's when they started making the table up for us. I also did not like the fact they had a TV on with a rugby game on. I thought that was wrong to have TV on in a dinning area.At the beginning the staff were so attentive to our needs and were so grateful it was wonderful. But half way through our dinner we were always calling them over to order drinks. The menu in itself was a very small menu I personally found it very hard to find something I would eat on their menu. My partners ordered the deep sea cod and the pear and parmesan salad and he liked it. I ordered the eye fillet asked for it to be cooked medium. When I got it it looked nice but when I cut into it it was too raw for me to eat. I asked the waiter if it could be cooked for a bit longer as it was to rare for me to eat. They said that's fine they can see it is and they will fix it. Long story short I got a new stake and when I cut into it it started bleeding. Next thing I know I'm waiting for 10 min trying to let the meat set. But even then the meat kept on bleeding I was just dabbing my plate/meat with the napkin too soak up the blood. This I found very unpleasant I ate a bit gave most of it to my partners and left some for them to hopefully see how raw my meat was.We will never ever go to dinner here again and I will never promote this place for dinner. I had the worst time. But saying all this I am going for buffet breakfast tomorrow. And the next day as their breakfast is awesome it's just their dinner that is terrible."

"It’s relatively easy to find food for comfort or food for freshness on the Gold Coast, but far more difficult to find food for inspiration. The North Room has it all: the comfort of known ingredients, impeccably sourced produce, presented with a twist to entice and surprise both the eye and the palate. It’s a place where rhetoric meets practice, where service is genuinely informed without being stuffy; a place where we’re so amazed at its quality that we miss it already...Printed on a single sheet of paper (read ‘always changing to match the finest seasonal, locally-sourced produce’ , each dish sounds so intriguing that making a choice is impossible. We want to try it all!<br/ <br/ On a menu bridging both lunch and dinner, it’s only too easy to choose the five-course Chef’s Selection tasting menu for two for $62 per person, to which you can add dessert or cheese for an extra $5pp, as well as matching wines for $49pp."

"I had second thoughts when we arrived to see a lack of people dining on a Friday night. Fresh oysters, mussels and prawns were all great. The Thai Nam Jim sauce was to die for!"
