"I had heard such great things about The Plate we were excited for a night out to celebrate our anniversary but unfortunately our expectations fell a little short. Eating out with dietary restrictions can be hard but the menu had dairy free options on it so I was feeling confident we would be okay. I ordered the short rib and just asked for the dairy free option (as listed on the menu this was available). The waitress confirmed she had made a note about dairy free. The meal came out missing two items that were listed and had no replacements no potato or sauerkraut. We paid the same price for half a meal, unfortunate. Dessert was delicious! We unfortunately also left on a mildly sour note, we were paying the bill as the staff members phone rang, he answered the phone and turned his back to us, turned back around to point and tap on the eftpos machine which needed a pin. Could’ve easily have asked the person on the phone to hold so he could finish his interaction with us before we left. Pay $140 and leave feeling underwhelmed with service and food."
