"Service was excellent until when it came to dessert and coffee she came to deliver forever and to always bring the check and at the end there was a mistake on the check .. waited additional 10 minutes to fix it.... they wanted to make it by going to us drinks at that time that we were exhausted, and they said next time we came u drinks to the house... How will they remember us... the best to give a discount on the check or give a voucher or rain check. In this way they secure what they say."

"Really sad experience, first they didn't have us on the reservation book, so we had to wait 20 minutes until they set up a counter for us. then it took 10 minutes to get water, over 15 minutes to get the drinks orders in and half an hour for food orders. then the brot came only after the appetizer and it was less pieces then to be in the table. we asked for more and it took 20 minutes to get. Eating is simply okay and service is terrible, manager has no idea what he does where they found him? we had gone a few times into the east and loved her, but that must be someone else or something because the taste of the food and service is terrible compared to everything that is perfect in east haven. if they want to try one of the 3 restaurants do not go to this, it is a waste of money."

"Now your smile is spreading thin Seems you 're trying not to lose Since I 'm not supposed to win (David Bowie) What a lovely brunch we had yesterday! We were in Norwalk to visit the Maritime Center, and made brunch reservations to sit outside at The Spread. They seemed to have as much table space outside as they had inside. The setting was gorgeous, inside a big courtyard next to a big splash fountain for the kiddies to play in. Oh, and they have a big outdoor bar too for the adults to play in. Our table ordered from their brunch menu a $12 Smoked Tomato Soup and Grilled Cheese Sandwich plate, and a #12 Veggie Omelet Plate with squash, zucchini, feta, jalapeno hollandaise, and dressed baby greens. My omelet was great a big portion chock full of veggies and that nice jalapeno hollandaise as an exclamation point. In contrast, the soup and sandwich plate looked rather skimpy for the same price. The service and atmosphere were stellar, and we really enjoyed the outdoor experience on this beautiful summer day."

"Visited Norwalk again for the Oyster Festival and stopped at this location for lunch. I went with two other friends and the three of us ordered cocktails which came out quickly and were made well. Then we proceeded to order our lunch; one of theguests had chicken caesar salad, another had the lobster ravioli with shrimp and I had the brussels sprout salad withchicken. I was a little skeptical to add chicken as sometimes grilled chicken is super hit or miss for me Well, I am soglad I ordered the chicken it was excellent! All of our meals were eaten with no left overs, and we loved them all! The foodwas fresh and the service was prompt... We talked about other things we would try from the menu when we return. Everythingthat came out to other tables looked excellent as well.... Chicken Milanese, the french fries, and lobster mac and cheese alllooked so good as they were delivered to others. We sat in front of the open windows out onto the street and a large party cameoutside shortly after we were seated and we could hear a lot of their conversation due to their volume but that was to beexpected... And seriously not a big deal. Overall this deserves a visit if you are in Norwalk or passing through, and we willabsolutely return in the event we are in the area again in the future. 10 10!!"

"We know good pizza in Connecticut and would rate Magic 5 mediocre. I don’t believe the crust is house made as claimed. The three pie crusts were too uniform seeming that they were prefabricated. A lot of effort went in to the toppings which were all good. We asked for the heat to be turned up music lowered. You would have thought they’d comply cheerfully since other patrons were still wearing their jackets or had them on their lap. Restaurants need to understand we’re there to dine have background music so we can have a conversation. They’re not a nightclub."

"Food B-Service ABar table A, dining room B, attic CDisappointed in beet salad and pasta.Beets were finely diced and had a smokey flavor that overwhelmed the dish. Very unusual preparation for a beet salad.Pasta was very salty and mushrooms were also finely diced and didn't add flavor or texture to the dish. For the difficulty in getting a reservation and the sub par food, And the high cost, it was very disappointing."
