"Easily disappointing for the price compared to other places in Richmond. The oysters were not fresh and had a slight taste. The main thing was ok, but as with everything my partner and I had, it was normal for the price of about $35 for...a main that should have a light wow factor, but did nothing here. The cocktails at around $23 were also neat. The service was friendly enough, but we will not go back than living in Richmond, we can access much better places. To simply say, Academy does not live up to the ever-developing high culinary standards of its area."

"My husband and I had an excellent Sunday lunch with my 82-year-old Mum. The food was delicious, full of complex spicy flavours, and beautifully presented, and the main dish servings were rather generous. Next time, I would probably opt to share a few smaller plates, that way I could taste more dishes! The serving staff were extremely polite and friendly without being intrusive or overbearing. The dining room's industrial aesthetic is beautifully tempered with thoughtful lighting and lots of living greenery. All of us thoroughly enjoyed our lunch and we would absolutely recommend Kekou!"
