"Hubby and I visited establishment on Saturday, August 6th, 2022! Our total bill was $63.04 $3.00 tip! ?? Highway robbery only went there to support Astros newest teammate Jose Pena! Never again will we be supporting or visiting this place!! Green spicy ?? hot sauce triggered Rhinitis flare up, irritated watery eyes ?! Diabetes patients stay away from Fresaca high sugary content (definitely will spike your glucose levels !! I ordered the Watermelon Fresaca, 1st young female waitress couldn't speak English kept replying back with okay you want Lemon Fresaca. Hubby finally stated whatever everyone else orders (received a sugary Lemon Fresaca similar to Lemon pie?? ? . Another older Spanish waitress (beautiful white hair took my order on chicken enchilada plate #6 with green sauce, definitely didn't get my order correct! ?? Instead I received three white cheesey enchiladas, rice and beans were good. Spanish waitress (white hair stated she would credit our bill for mix-up (claimed she heard cheese when I definitely said out loud chicken ? ? ! Unfortunately, item wasn't removed from our bill for she would've had to pay for it out of her tip money ?! Hubby ordered the Alambres Special #3, he stated the meat ? was a bit chewy. Had 2 Dos Equis XX ?? (HEB sales a 6pk 12oz bottles for $10.58 , 2 glasses of water ? ? and a container full of Menudo to go (definitely will be leaving a review on Menudo !! Menudo didn't come with hominy instead the intestines were chewy, flavorless, gristle and rubbery! My dog wouldn't even eat it!"

"We found this restaurant on Yelp. An impeccable service, ambience and food. My best friend and I are not out of the forest, but in any case have a reason to return. We appreciate that it is a separate menu especially for vegetarians and vegans. The host was very informative, patient and served us in time. The host was also sweet. Our waiter was very attentive, patient, friendly and professional. He was helpful to make suggestions and always had our glasses full. The food was fresh and delicious. In the end we ordered the cheesecake rolls with pistachio ice cream, strawberries, whipped cream and an amazing butterscotch sauce. Dinner was expensive overall, but it was worth spending $50/person for such a fabulous night. I really wish I had met the owner personally to learn the history and history of how the restaurant came. I will definitely return and recommend this place to others."

"$20 for my meal. ordered a 3 piece boudin balls, shrimp po?boy, and a red beans and rice. boudin balls on point, hot, about the size of regular sized marshmallow. shrimp sandwich was good. didn?t expect deep fried shrimp but that?s common. red beans and rice were hot and good but just didn?t hit right with my tongue. probably just me. employees were very friendly and polite. that was the best part! wanted to give 4.5 stars. will eat here again."
