"My fiance and I were vacationing in Tahoe with some friends and we decided to break away to have a date night here. When we made reservations we noted that it was for a date night and they sat us down at a table that was next to the window and what a view! It really set the tone for our night and made it so special. I wish I remembered our waiter's name because he was very attentive and made sure we were taken care of all night. The customer service was excellent! My fiance and I both started off with some martinis and we had a really nice time sipping on our drinks while watching the sunset. For starters we each ordered the lobster bisque. The creaminess and richness of the lobster pieces was really soothing on a cold night. I thought it would come out as a cup, but to my surprise it was a bowl of soup. We probably could've just ordered one and shared that bowl of soup between the two of us. For entree, my fiancé ordered from the prix fixe menu and for additional charge he got the cowboy steak, which was a really good deal. For a la carte the cowboy steak is $140, but the prix fixe menu is $100 and an additional $50 for the cowboy steak. So for $10 more you get an appetizer and dessert essentially. Now that's a steal! I got to try some of his steak and it was so delicious and prepared well. We went to Hell's Kitchen 2 days prior where he had ordered a steak and let me tell you...he preferred the cowboy steak. It was that good! I myself ended up ordering 2 appetizers as my entree tuna tartare and half a dozen of oysters. The tuna tartare sat in a bed of thick soy sauce and it was overpowering and I couldn't really enjoy it. I told my waiter this and he immediately took it back and took it off the bill. If it wasn't for the too much sauce it would've been a really good dish. But I still give this place a 4 star because of the excellent customer service. My waiter felt bad that he offered to bring me some shrimp and crab, but unfortunately I was already full and knew I couldn't eat anymore or else I would've taken up on his offer. To end the night my fiance had the chocolate cake from his prix fixe menu and it was a perfect and decadent sized cake to end the night. This was definitely an experience and hope to be back one day to try their other dishes."

"That is very long, because the seat is very limited. it's worth waiting. the fresh oysters were just okay, wasn't so clean. the French seafood stew was amazing, so much taste. also enjoyed the steamed exfoliation and garnelen eating. I liked how to cook all food to order before them. a beautiful experience."

"After a long day at Yosemite, and a long drive, we looked forward to steaks at The Sage Room. On first impression, it looks luxurious. With more observation, you start to notice things, like the pile of dust on the window sills (great views though! , you notice that a used Kleenex sat on the floor near you for the duration of your dinner...The bone-in Porter House Steak was a vast disappointment, especially at $84.95, sides extra. Usually, I ask the the steak be prepared as the Chef prefers. In this case, Chef must like steaks unseasoned, over cooked and dry. The assorted sauteed mushrooms didn't save it. The same technique was applied to a Fillet Mignon, it looked lonely on the plate. The baked potato was served separately, in case it marred the fillet's presentation. The fillet was returned to the kitchen, and replaced with Steak Diane, which was a production, as it is prepared table side. The wedge salad with bleu cheese dressing and lardons was the night's winner, despite the chewiness of the lardons. Our server was friendly and semi-efficient. There were two of us, but the server left 3 place settings and four napkins, crowding the small table further once appetizers and drinks were served. I do belive that we were comped the Steak Diane, but that didn't make up for the underwhelming experience."

"Food was excellent. The atmosphere was very covered and relaxed. Signature Blackberry old fashion was very tasty. No pressure from the staff order quickly. You can just relax and enjoy the great views you choose. We also liked the fact that many articles come with one side and help at the expense."

"If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. I’m still sitting at the table as I wrote this. The food has been incredible. We had the oysters and the bison tenderloin for appetizers. My wife had the free range chicken and and I had the seafood mixed grill. The food was impeccable and the service was great. We’re in Tahoe for our tenth anniversary, and I couldn’t ask for a better experience on our last night in Tahoe."

"This is Dr. Di and my husband Professor Breunlin. We are from Chicago. We were at the restaurant on the 4th of November. We were celebrating my husbands 76th birthday. It was a horrible evening. They told us to leave because we were intoxicated. This was a complete misperception given we had food and a total of three drinks. My husband believes we were profiled at the time we entered the restaurant.. I had on a scarf symbolizing gay rights rainbow scarf) and we were speaking Spanish. I am 65 and per yesterday's birthday) my husband is 76. We were totally lucid at the time we were told to leave. Given our age we simply do not drink that much. Upon further contemplation we believe our treatment was some combination of homo phobia, racism and agism. The really need to do some employee trainings . We do not recommend this restaurant."
