"This little restaurant, tucked away on Caxton street may not look like much from the outside, however as we had been recommended to try it, in we went. It was late and we were one of two only couples eating at Caxton Thai. My wife had the basil chicken which was excellent. One of my favorite Thai food is the duck curry with lychees and one of the best one I had eaten was on Hayman island, in the days of the Oriental restaurant. At Caxton Thai, that little curry was as good if not better than my many previous indulgence of that particular dish in Thailand or Hayman. It was well balanced, the duck was juicy and tasty and the aromas were subtle yet fully explosive as I ate the curry with a perfectly cooked rice. And then, the surprise was that the chef was the same one as the one on Hayman Island (who had been there for 10 years) and therefore it explained why I had again one of the world best duck curry. On my next visit to Brisbane, you can be sure I will be back to this unassuming restaurant which produces a very true Thai food experience."
