"The meal started off good with a good amuse bouche apart from a odd red dipping paste which just tasted off. Next came the starters which was the high light of the meal with some fresh scallops served with a pork shoulder which was perfectly cooked and some apple puree, only thing i would say is that the portions of this starting was tiny looked more like a tasting menu than a starter. After this it was the mains which i went for the lobster , first of all the lobster was over cooked and black burn marks on it some how?? Even though it was poached?? The lobster also had a weird saffron taste to it which was totally unneeded, after this i tried the rice which was basically a ball of mush and was so over cooked it was a joke. Also included in this main you get a side order of the curry sauce with the veg which was totally unnecessary do to the curry not going with the lobster anyway. The curry just tasted way too spicy so you could even taste any seasoning the chef put in. Really disappointed with the main especially when you charge an extra £15 for this one and only have 4 mains on the menu they should all be perfect. Next was desert and all credit to the pastry chef the desert did not disappoint, i had the chocolate delice which was incredible but i will say i did try someone else crumble and it had no flavour to it due to it had be over cooked. To finish they bring little chocolate bites and to be honest i wish they kept them in the kitchen due to it taking the lovely flavour of the desert out of your mouth and replacing it sour taste of jelly in your mouth. I dined at this restaurant on 16/10/21 and i will say this i feel the chef is good but needs to reel it in with all the flavours on the main and just check more on what he is sending it because sometimes less is more and you may just say I'm a customer and don't know what I'm talking about however I used to work in a Michelin star kitchen in one of the best hotels in the world so do know a little bit."
