"After an ocular in Pinto Art Museum for an event my company is doing, my husband and I were famished. Tend to always go to Trip Advisor to check the eating spots in the area and Casa Abuela had good reviews. And rightfully so! Their staff welcomed us with warm smiles. The resto is located along the road, right across the Yakult office in Antipolo. Parking area is quite cramped. Luckily, when we went there, it was just us eating at the place. There's no high chair. But that's because this seemed more like a date place. The food is really good. The callos was yummy, and the roast beef, very tender. Wish I ordered the cordon bleu as well. We also tried out their spaghetti. Very tasty. The shakes were good, contrary to a review that said it tasted like medicine. But the MUST try is the cream puffs. They were like small pieces of heaven. The creamy filling was so good! The food we ordered included a free slice of cake. What a sweet bonus! Overall, the experience eating here was very satisfactory. Good food, attentive staff, homey ambiance. Perfect place to chill and chat."

"I still find it amusing when I discover something new in Antipolo. Be it food or a place, it's a gleeful feeling that I don't have to go travel elsewhere to experience a particular spot or taste a different menu. One fine day, my college friend, Rowena of Travel Eat Pinas, invited me to do a food review for a cafe in Antipolo that I haven't been into. Knowing that I am from Antipolo, I instantly agreed. "This restaurant has been in operation for about three months now .We had such a good time during our first try 2 weeks ago (May 2) that we decided to pay them another visit to see if what we have experienced is a fluke or...not. During our first try, we had: Nilagang Bulalo tasty! no additional condiment needed Kare Kare thick , yummy sauce (better than Marison's) Lumpiang Sariwa okay and Fried Chicken for the kids. The fried chicken was a hit with the kids we had to order them again during our subsequent visit. On our 2nd try , we decided to order the following: Chopseuy crisp veggies not overdone Fried Chicken (again) although this time the portions are a lot smaller but the kids still gobbled them up. Seafood Paella in Crispy Sotanghon tasty, fresh seafood , though I wish they have more of the paella sauce in it. but over all its still good. Baby Back Ribs (Medium Size) the serving was big and it was good..though a bit on the sweet side for me Lumpiang Sariwa as good as our first try Calamares very tasty, not bland at all For dessert, we tried the turon with ice cream . I find the turon too oily , I guess you better have your dessert somewhere else. They also offer a small bowl of crispy dilis for free which you can munch on while you wait for your order. The ambiance is relaxed casual dining. The price is reasonable . Ala carte orders are good for sharing. Service is fast and the staff is very attentive. I will definitely go back to this place. We have long been on the look out for a good local restaurant in the area aside from the more established ones like Crescent Moon and Vieux Chalet. Highly recommended for family/group meals."
