"This was our first time visiting Manies, on the popular walking street of 17 Avenue SW in Calgary. We had lunch of souvlaki sandwiches with salads for $10.95 each. The price is good and the salads were fine but the sandwiches were not very good. My chicken had a funky taste - I asked the server if they used mechanically deboned chicken and she said they did not. My wifes lamb souvlaki was a tough as show leather and poorly seasoned. There were only two other people in the restaurant at lunch time: perhaps the cook is keeping food and re-warming it rather than throwing it out. This is too bad: it's a nice comfortable room."
