"Tessa is my new favorite neighborhood dining spot. The vibe is friendly and welcoming, the staff always willing to go the extra mile to accommodate. The bar offers excellent happy hour cocktails (check their website for times). Their drinks menu is creative, inviting, and wickedly good! It's pretty hard to stop after one drink! The place may look small and dark from the outside; actually, its space is fairly narrow but surprisingly deep. Great spot for groups, families, singles. The menu is diverse--with a little something for everyone. If you're in the mood for a little decadence, I'd recommend the truffle fries. YUMMMMM!!!"

"Sorry to discover that this place has gone downhill. The food was always simple and easily recreated at home, but it’s gone from dishes you might encounter at a stylish friend’s casual dinner party to things you’d get from a home cook who really doesn’t care about food: a mezze plate of bland hummus with dull carrot sticks, a mushy mixture of overcooked quinoa and soggy vegetables with canned chickpeas and a chalky poached egg, etc. I’ve never written a review of a restaurant before but this was really disappointing. And the service was indifferent verging on irritable."

"The perfect spot for a warm coffee on a cold day. The vibe is perfect at this spot, with a bar-top setup in the front room and a more quiet space in the back. The furniture is unique and the chairs at some of tables in the back room are so incredibly comfy, it’s the perfect spot to get some work done or just relax with a coffee and good conversation.I got a caramel latte and it was the perfect amount of syrup, so that it wasn’t too sweet and didn’t overwhelm the drink. The staff was friendly and welcoming and I love that it’s Black owned. It’s truly a unique spot and is a gem for the neighborhood"
